Solid little road-trip upgrade
Bought this mainly for road trips and eating in the car, and it’s been a good addition so far. I saw some reviews saying it isn’t sturdy, but the tray and mount themselves are actually very solid and made from thick plastic. If there’s any movement, it’s coming from the car’s cup holder, not the tray — and that movement just becomes more noticeable the longer the arm is.It fits perfectly in our 2020 Ford Explorer. The arm adjusts easily and allows for a lot of positioning options, and the locking pivots keep everything secure once set. The expanding tray feels sturdy and stays where you put it without being hard to adjust.If I had one complaint, it would be that there’s no option to use the tray without the arm. A shorter or removable arm would be nice. The phone holder works but doesn’t really account for phones with cases and holds the phone almost too vertical, so we don’t use that part much.There is some movement, but not enough to cause food to slide around under normal driving. Overall, it’s well made, useful, and a great value for the price. Definitely a solid road-trip accessory.

No regrets—already planning to buy a second for the back seat!To expand the base of this cup holder tray, you typically use a twist-to-lock mechanism located at the bottom of the unit. Since the base is designed to grow from 2.6″ to 3.6″, follow these steps for a secure fit:Installation StepsInsert into Cup Holder: Place the base into your car’s existing cup holder while it is in its smallest setting. Twist the Top Section: Hold the very bottom of the base with one hand and rotate the upper part of the base clockwise. Watch the “Wings”: As you twist, three or four plastic “extensions” (the ones with the silicone pads) will begin to push outward from the sides of the base. Tighten until Snug: Continue twisting until the silicone pads are firmly pressed against the walls of your car’s cup holder.Check for Movement: Give it a light shake. Sad it doesn’t. Work
Really cool item needed this badly for road trip. Finally got it and there’s one very small very particular piece that is missing that makes it all work. Very sad is a very. The lil ball that u screw the nut onto is not there at all! The small “ball “ directions clearly say that it’s supposed to be on the end of the arm to connect the top part to the tray. There’s no ball there too tighten the nut around and that’s exactly what the direction say to do.
