Update – Based on my previous 2 star rating, the seller contacted me, refunded my money, and sent me a replacement with improved materials.. That’s excellent customer service. Since I received the replacement I’ve received weekly emails offering another replacement… seems they’re very concerned that I’m happy. Again, they get high marks for service plus I’m sure they want good customer ratings on Amazon. I’m very happy with the replacement so far.I like this holder a lot as it works very well. I like the magnetic base and the fact there’s no fussy clamps to squeeze to hold the phone or button to push to release the phone. The replacement appears to be identical to the one that failed and broke. Perhaps the parts that broke are now molded from a grade of plastic that can handle the hot environment of a windshield. I haven’t had to repeated tighten the clamp ring, which I believe was the cause of the original’s failure. I won’t know for sure until the weather warms up again as the replacement was sent to me after summer’s peak temperatures. I’ve changed my rating from 2 stars to 5 based on the excellent customer service, refund, and a replacement that is still working………………………………………….Original review (2 stars)This product worked well for a couple of weeks, then the clamp mechanism that holds the magnetic head on the ball broke. The swivel started loosening and the magnetic head would flop around. The magnetic in the swivel head was strong and had no problem holding my LG-G5 phone, but the swivel wasn’t up to the task. I had to repeatedly tighten the swivel so the magnetic head, and thus the phone, wouldn’t flop around. Then the threaded fingers that clamp / tighten round the ball broke. I’m returning the product for a refund.The suction cup worked very well and it never fell off the windshield. The length of the arm was a great fit in my VW Jetta. Too bad the clamp failed. I think the summer heat and sun of the windshield environment probably softened and weakened the clamp fingers…

Works for my 2018 Toyota Yaris
I had a tough time finding a phone holder for my 2018 Toyota yaris ia. The location of the backup screen, the curved dashboard, and the round vents made it difficult. This one has a long enough arm that I could install it behind the screen in a flat spot and have the arm bend down so the phone doesn’t block the screen or the windshield.It has only four stars because the magnet on the phone itself is ok but not great. When the car bounces, the phone slips further down, and I have to re-place it back up before it falls off (it did fall a few times when it slipped too low, but I don’t let that happen anymore)UPDATE: Jan 10, 2018. This was a four star review, but customer service contacted me after seeing my review and offered to make it better and send me a new magnet. I said sure, and they asked me to return the magnet. They then asked me to send back the product. I declined and said I would keep what I have. It does a good job, even if it isn’t perfect, and I don’t want to remove it from my dashboard and be without one while I wait for the new one. I was comfortable with this, and I understand why they would want the phone holder back, but honestly, it is good enough to not have a hassle. However, they re-contacted me to mail them back the magnet so “their engineers could look at it” and they would send me a new one.I had a decent product. I wrote a solid review for it, and their customer service keeps emailing me trying to make me go out of my way so that I will give them another star? No. I am not going to take time out of my work day to package up my magnet for them and take it to the post office. It is the cheap part of the holder. What a waste of my time.UPDATE: Jan 16, 2019: I am incredibly confused by this whole process. When I updated my review on January 10, I received an email apologizing for them wanting me to return the magnet. I didn’t read it carefully, but a few days later I received a package in the mail containing two cradle attachments to pop into the arm of the car holder. I have no idea why they sent that since the only problem that I have is the magnet attached to my phone. They are obviously trying hard and want to help make sure this is right for me, so I’m returning it to the original 4 stars. It’s a good product, it isn’t perfect, but I’ll buy a second flat magnet to glue to the back of my phone, and that will stop the slipping.I recommend this product. I am confused by customer service, but they obviously want to make sure their customers are happy. The product is the only one I could find that fit my Toyota Yaris ia well without blocking the music screen, the front window, and the round air vent.

The best part is the screw on to the holder . Others I’ve had breaks at this part but this one is really strong. Comes with extra magnets and the quality is really good. It will last a while I think. A1!
