Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Heads up Display for Cars Windshield, sold by the KUOWEIHUDWhite lettering Option.Nice Device. I set this up to check it out, and found that it really does a great job of projecting the Time and MPH on the Windshield. I test drove my vehicle watching the odometer closely. The HUD display was very accurate, spot on really.I had one issue with this. The included USB adapter that goes into the power outlet of you care does not work. I had to plug this device into a different USB outlet to power it up. The included USB adapter has a rating of 5V 3.4AThe supplied USB A to C cable is very long, and will allow for a wide range of install options.During the initial setup, of course I wasn’t driving, so it displayed the Time. Reading the instructions was a bit confusing, but I figured it out. Pressing the control wheel for a couple of seconds brings you to the main menu. From there, option 1 will be shown. You’ll have to press the control Wheel again to choose Option One. I was turning the wheel, and couldn’t figure how to set the time to my region. The instructions didn’t say to press the wheel after the menu options came up, and the option you want is displayed.When selecting the time, of course there was no option for DST in my area, so I had to make adjustments to get the proper time setting.I thought there was going to be an option to select either MPH or KPH. However there are no options to do this. Or at least I couldn’t find it. During the Test Drive, the device did display MPH correctly. I didn’t mess with any of the other settings, but they are explained in the instructions. The product page says: “MPH / KMH Switchable Display: Easily switch between MPH and KM/H to match your driving preference or regional requirements.” But I couldn’t find that option in the instructions.Now for the task of deciding exactly where I want the display to project on the windshield. While testing, regardless of where I projected the image, it was always clear and in focus. I am going to get some 3M pull tabs so I can set the projection device in place temporarily and make a final choice before I tape it down for good. Also, I plan is to use some Painter’s Tape (the blue stuff) and temporarily place the reflective screen on the windshield until I have everything lined up the way I want it. I’ve never used this stuff, so I’m not exactly sure how clear it will or won’t be. If needed, I will cut down the size of the reflective screen so that it doesn’t get in my line of sight while I drive any more then it has to be.You’ll have to place this unit in a location that suits your views and the design of your car’s dash.Overall, the product does exactly what it is designed to do. I’m happy with that. Cost wise, this is a bargain. I am seeing other HUD devices here on Amazon, some projection and others are not. Some have many items on the display and I think that is just too much Info. I just want to see my speed and direction. This device does that.I recommend this device for the Student Driver all the way up to the Highway speedster. It would make a GREAT Gift for the Side-Seat Driver who is always telling you to “Slow Down!”. :)It works perfectly, and has customization relating to where it will display on your windshield.

I’ve been dreaming about this kind of tech for years and this seems like it’s finally getting started; however, you are limited to only speed and direction. It was extremely easy to install; however, you want to make sure of two things before you get started. The first is the placement of the reflective film that is needed to show the projected image back to you. Personally, I felt it best to put off to the right of your vision because of the second thing…the cord. Thankfully, they didn’t make it a rechargeable as I can see many irresponsible folks trying to plug it in once the power runs out and they are barreling down the highway at over 80MPH.Once installed, it’s very unobtrusive and easy to check with just a quick glance. It was also very easy to switch back and forth between MPH and KPH. I like that it’s got a sticker to keep it from sliding across your dash when you’re driving.I’d like to revisit this tech in a couple of years when it’s integrated into a vehicle and is able to show other relevant data such as a Bluetooth connection to your phone for Android Auto or whatever Apple is using, such as a map and current music selection…stuff like that.
