    Great monitor for turbocharged-engined vehicles
Sorry to see that this product is “Currently Unavailable” from Amazon. I ordered this for my new 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe SE 2.5-liter turbo because factory instrumentation is only an engine temperature indicator without numeric values, a tachometer and a speedometer. It has no compass on its own. This unit offers a huge assortment of readouts to select from. I have settled on displaying intake manifold pressure (or vacuum), intake air temperature (is the intercooling working?), exhaust gas temperature, engine oil temperature, engine coolant temperature, electrical system voltage, vehicle speed, and compass. Wow! all that in a plug-n-play unit that installs pretty easily. All that said, the first unit I ordered displayed engine oil temperature for the first drive I took with it. One the second and subsequent drives, the unit only displayed “32” for engine oil temperature. Amazon allowed me to return the first gauge and order a second gauge, which I have installed, and it seems to work fine. Hopefully, though this gauge unit, or one with all these same functions, will be made available again.

    Works on certain cars
It works sorta, I have a 24 Nissan frontier, and it works but only on certain things, the directions are useless. It’s plastic, cheap plastic.so it’s a Gamble what works with your car. I really wanted it for oil, water, and transmission temperature, anything else would be a bonus. It gives me oil and water Temp. Not transmission temperature and that’s the one I really wanted. There is useful information. In the end for my 24 Nissan frontier is it Worth it! No, but it might work on your car.

A very cool display for tuning and general engine info, works on motorcycles
I hooked this up to my new (to me) 2022 Triumph Rocket 3 GT, and got all kinds of interesting info on it. It displays way more than the stock dash does. It’s also very cool that it has a built in GPS, compass and altimeter. Not only could you use this as a speedometer, but the altitude would also be useful in ECU tuning. On the left side you get coolant temp and voltage display (and a clock). The middle shows RPM and speed, with a compass and what looks like another coolant temp gauge. You can cycle through different skins for the left and center displays. On the right, you can cycle through a display with some common readings like fuel consumption and engine load, a PID list that has multiple pages of PIDs on your CANbus, a boost gauge, some GPS info including speed, and the final two screens that measure acceleration and braking performance (time from 0-100KmH and time and distance to go from 100KmH to stopped). You can also switch it to imperial measurements like MpH if you prefer. It’s super simple to hook up, you just plug it into the OBD port and it powers on and starts showing data. It takes a little bit for it to acquire GPS signals which delays the clock display and speed related things, but the engine info is available almost immediately. The screen is plenty bright enough to see in the daytime, in fact the colors are quite vivid. If you want to mount this, it comes with a base that sticks on with double sided tape and a long cable to connect to the OBD port. I personally wouldn’t mount it permanently, in any daily driver, but for a racer I could see that being useful. For me, it will be used to tune engines and check performance on an irregular basis. For that I do wish it had a RAM mount capability so I could temporarily mount it to my motorcycles and cars. I’ll maybe 3D print a RAM mount for it, it seems feasible. For the price (just under $60 when I ordered), it’s a great value. It’s pretty amazing and has a lot of functionality that you’d find in a diagnostic tool. The only thing you can’t do with it is check and reset fault codes, but it’s much better at displaying realtime info than a diagnostic OBD reader is.

    Honest Review
As a mechanic, I’m always looking for ways to monitor vehicle health in real-time, and this Heads Up Display (HUD) is a fantastic tool for exactly that. I tested this on a 2019 Chevy Equinox, and the “Plug and Play” experience via the OBDII port was seamless.Customization & Data: The depth of customization is impressive. Depending on what PIDs your vehicle supports, you can configure the dual screens to your liking:Left/Right Displays: You can set up 4 data points on the left and 6 on the right.Nine-Grid Data: This is where I spent the most time. Being able to customize a grid of 9 specific data points is incredibly useful for monitoring engine concerns, battery voltage, fuel trims, or turbo performance.Turbo Monitoring: The turbo data is a great touch for seeing real-time performance that most factory dashboards don’t show.GPS & Navigation Features: The GPS functionality is very convenient. It provides accurate Latitude/Longitude, speed (great for cross-referencing your actual driving speed), and your direction in both degrees and cardinal directions.Installation Notes:Mounting: Note that it does not come with a suction cup for the windshield. Instead, it includes double-sided tape for a dash mount.Compatibility: It worked perfectly on my 2019 Equinox. I plan to test this next on a 2010 Ford F-150 to see how it handles older OBDII protocols and will update if there are any major differences.Interface: Take the time to read the instructions! You need them to unlock the full potential of the screen configurations.Pros:Massive amount of data (100+ gauges) for diagnostic monitoring.Highly customizable layout (Nine-grid screen is a standout).Quick and easy OBDII plug-and-play setup.Clear GPS data for heading and speed.Cons:No suction mount option (tape only).Limited by your vehicle’s available PIDs (not the fault of the device, but something to keep in mind).Bottom Line: Whether you’re a car enthusiast or a professional wanting to keep an eye on engine vitals, this is a top-tier display. The level of detail it provides for the price is excellent.
