Product description
Halt! Emergency Fire Blanket

Be prepared for an emergency with Halt’s new Emergency Fire Blanket.
Fire blankets are one of the fastest, easiest, and cleanest ways to put out a small kitchen fire.
Designed to be mounted where it’s needed and quickly deployed. A traditional fire extinguisher is a last resort before calling the fire department, as they are very messy, can contain chemicals, and are expensive to replace. This fire blanket can serve as your first line of defense against a small household fire.
Halt’s Fire Blanket is Fast and Easy to Use! Here’s how it works:
Mount the fire blanket on the wall. A single screw or nail is all that’s needed. (Wall mounting not required to use)Pull the tapes on the bottom of the pouch to quickly release the blanket for use.Unfurl the fire blanket by holding the straps wide apart.Carefully drape the blanket over the fire covering it completely and turn off any heat source like a stovetop. When the fire is out, fold up the fire blanket and place back in the pouch to use again and again.
Remember: When in doubt about whether the fire is completely out or can be contained by the fire blanket, call the fire department!
Halt’s emergency blanket is a must-have kitchen safety tool.
The large blanket comes in a small pouch designed to be mounted where it’s needed. You can keep it beside your stove, on the inside of a cabinet door, on your kitchen wall.
Made of durable and heat-resistant fiberglass, this blanket is easy to use and leaves no mess behind. No residue, no foam, no chemicals, no powder, no clean-up. It never expires and requires no maintenance. Just fold it back up when you’re done to reuse as often as needed.
Fire blankets work by smothering fires, depriving them of oxygen. This makes them effective on a wide variety of household fires, including kitchen grease fires, wood and paper fires, electrical fires, and more.
It’s not limited to the kitchen. Keep one in the garage, the laundry room, in the car, by the barbecue, near a fireplace, and anywhere else a small fire may break out.
STOP FIRES INSTANTLY: The HALT! Emergency Fire Blanket quickly extinguishes small fires without the mess or complexity of traditional fire extinguishers. Just pull the tabs to release and cover the fire to smother it immediately.
PEACE OF MIND ANYWHERE: Ideal for use in the kitchen, backyard, vehicle, or while camping. With a convenient hanging slot, the HALT! Fire Blanket can be easily stored and accessed during emergencies, ensuring you’re always prepared.
VERSATILE & EFFECTIVE: Designed to tackle various types of fires. It can also double as a heat shield, making it a must-have in your survival kit.
RE-USABLE, NO EXPIRATION, NO MAINTENANCE: Unlike traditional fire extinguishers, the HALT! Fire Blanket never expires, saving you from costly replacements or maintenance. It’s reusable, too—just clean and store it back in its pouch after use.
PREMIUM QUALITY & SAFETY: Crafted from two layers of high-quality woven fiberglass and a fire-retardant film, the HALT! Fire Blanket can withstand high tempetures.

Fire Blankets
Brought one for each household in my family. But the feedback from each of them was very rewarding because it is something they wanted and needed.

Disclaimer – have not had the need to use it
I ordered this HALT! Emergency Fire Blanket – Rapid Fire Suppression for Home, Kitchen, Car & Camping to keep on hand for any emergencies. As someone who has had three home fires throughout my lifetime through no fault of my own, I saw this and said to myself, “Self, you should get one of these.”If they were at a better price point, I would probably order several more to keep one in each car (my husband had a truck fire on the highway too) and one in my kitchen and give them as gifts. This is so much easier than trying to fumble under pressure and figure out how to use a fire extinguisher and you never need to check an expiration date. They have a grommet so you can hang them in a cabinet door or on a wall and easily open the velcro and grab the blanket.

The thickness and size give me confidence
This blanket is larger than I expected, outsizing the less expensive versions you find out there. It will easily cover an entire stovetop. That’s wise in case the fire is not confined to one pan or if grease has already boiled over and spread across the stove. The sleeve has a very sturdy grommet to hang it up and is designed to be easily deployed with two long tabs for quick release from its velcro case, and it can be hung conveniently anywhere in the kitchen or patio near a BBQ grill. This simplicity is a big advantage over traditional fire extinguishers, which can be messy and require regular maintenance. Although it can be hung on a magnetic holder, cup hook, or nail, I’m using a stronger anchor screw in a stud. In an emergency, the force needed to yank on the blanket and unfold it in one movement is likely to break off a weak hanger so I don’t want to risk that. The quality of this fire blanket is top-notch. It’s made from dense, flame-resistant materials that feel sturdy and reliable. Despite its heft, it’s smooth to the touch and doesn’t have any prickly fibers sticking out, which was a concern I had initially. The bright yellow color ensures high visibility, although I would have preferred a more muted color for my kitchen. Nonetheless, its robust construction and the fact that it’s reusable and never expires make it a worthwhile investment for home safety. Overall, I feel much safer having this fire blanket on hand.

Great Peace of Mind for Fire Safety – Easy to Store and Reusable
I haven’t had to use the HALT! Emergency Fire Blanket yet, but I’m glad I have it on hand. It feels like a good quality product—lightweight and easy to store. The idea of just pulling the tabs to release the blanket in case of a fire is reassuring. I like that it’s reusable and requires no maintenance, which makes it a lot more practical than having to replace a fire extinguisher. I’ve mounted it near the stove for quick access, so I feel a bit more prepared in case of an emergency. Hopefully, I won’t need it, but it’s definitely peace of mind.

Not the size I was expecting
Fire blankets are pretty neat way of extinguishing common kitchen, grill, etc fires in an emergency without the mess that comes with traditional fire extinguishers. They also never go bad and do not need to be replaced (unless they’ve been used a few times). For reference, I already have 4 separate fire blankets from 4 separate different brands. This specific fire blanket is relatively thin and bendable, compare to those other blankets I have – this is a good thing as the better flexibility allows for a better seal and prevention of oxygen flowing into the fire. The workmanship around the endges/seams is also the best I’ve seen so far. No loose glass fibers. The hem is tucked in nicely around the edges. The weave is regular and pretty tight – no irregular intervals. That said, the reason for a 2-star review here is because the blanket wasn’t the size I was expecting. The product listing does not list the product dimensions explicitly: “12 x 7.18 x 5 inches” is clearly referring to it’s folded form which tells me nothing about how large this blanket actually is. However, the picture on the product page shows “47.24 x 70.87 inches”. Wowza! Great! This is much larger than the 40×40 all the other blankets are. The larger the blanket, the larger the cover area, the bigger fires you can put out. This was the reason I got this one, in addition to the other 4 I have.Well, turns out this is not 47×71, but rather the same 40×40 all other blankets are. It also comes with a premium price, considering you can get similar blankets for around $20. That said, as I described above, the quality is also premium, so it makes some sense.

Mid-level quality, unusually high price…
Simple fiberglass fire blanket in a lightweight and slightly kludgy deployment case.Other brands sell 2-5 fire blanket packages of the same level of quality for less than the cost of this one item, so I’m wondering why it is so much more expensive. That said, this fire blanket is fine for its intended purpose. Every home should have at least one of these to complement whatever other emergency fire equipment you have in your home.
