Installed as per directions. Turned on and waited several minutes for it to connect to the GPS satellite, only 2 white arrows in middle of screen with a blue band going around the edge of the screen face. Un plugged power cord and did a reset to factory settings, drove car around and about 20 minutes later it started working! left gps own for about an hour got back into car drove back home never came back on! I should have read reviews and picked a different one. Returning this GPS and ordered a different brand!

This thing is great, if your speedometer doesn’t work or is not correct, this is for you. I have had it in my offroad jeep for 2 years and it has never failed. For the cost, yoi can’t beat it.

Reliable and accurate. Much better than other models available
So far so good! I tried 2 others that ended up being junk and returned them. This one was actually cheaper and I can verify that it is accurate. The 2 others I tried would take 3-45 minutes to connect and this one has been nearly instant for me every time. Having said that it is a GPS speedometer so if you’re in the boonies chances are it isn’t going to work but I’ve had no issues driving around town and on the local highways. I would give it 5 stars but occasionally I have to unplug it and plug it back in to connect but it’s not really a huge issue compared to the others I’ve tried.

Great value in a basic GPS speedometer
Plus: At its brightest setting the display is colorful and easy to read. The speed updates rapidly as your speed changes, and tested against radar, it is dead-on accurate. Very good value for the price. Excellent option for vintage cars where the speedometer is inaccurate or inoperable.Minus: There is no easy way to mount this speedometer to the dash. There is not a large enough flat spot on the back for double stick tape or a glue-on magnet. There should be some sort of mounting bracket provided. Also, the power cord sticks out far beyond the back of the speedometer, which prohibits mounting the unit on a flat surface. It should have a 90˚ connector where it plugs into the unit. The power cord provided is very long.The unit has an automatic brightness control that dims the display in dark conditions. The light sensor is on the back of the unit, so if you mount it against or under the dash, the display will be too dim to see in daylight. The sensor should actually be located on the face of the unit where the display is. Fortunately, this automatic dimming feature can be disabled and the brightness set to the level you desire.

Does not work in the city. Works only where the device can have a clear uninterrupted view of the sky with no trees or buildings blocking access to satellites. Not worth the expense if you live in a built up city scape.
