Good product should’ve been had one
So far it’s been working fine. I like the fact that I can create my own routes.

  2. Alton McKiddy

    Truckers routed gps.
Easy to read and excellent for getting directions to anywhere big rig trucks need to go. So far I am satisfied with the performance of the truckers gps.

  3. Sunny

    Excellent GPS, very satisfied!
Garmin GPS exceeded my expectations. It works quickly and accurately, and the routes are always on point. The screen is bright and easy to read. It’s been a huge help on trips, especially in unfamiliar areas. Highly recommend!

    Good product
Its a good product, however my only complaint is that it has almost no battery life and the charger that I got with it doesnt want to keep it charged so im having to rely on other forms of truck GPS.

  5. Scott C. Trumbo

    Dang near perfect
The best trucking gps, hands down. Unlike the Rand McNally, if you set the zoom to how you like it, it stays there. Doesn’t show you irrelevant red lines streets but instead shows the STAA routes on the screen. I shut the voice off because I don’t need another woman telling me what to do, but left the alert beep on. You know that “bing-bong” sound you hear on airplanes, this mimics the “bong”, very pleasant sounding. Let’s you know if there’s a sharp curve, weigh station, next major turn, etc. One of my favorite features is that it tells you there’s a “xx” minute delay on “x.x” miles. Then when you’re in the traffic, it tells you how many minutes and miles until it clears up. You can see the weather at your destination. The screen is bright and easy to read. Not really a con, but it took me a while to figure out- when you input the address you’re going to, it assumes that you want to stay in the same city. Not the most intuitive method to select the state, but once you get the UI it’s a breeze. Garmin really did their homework.Back to the good- you can link your pilot and or loves rewards and use the gps for your fueling code. If you have prepass, you can link that, too.

    Glitchy and HIGHLY unreliable
I regret buying this. In the month that I’ve had it, it sometimes doesn’t register that I arrived at a location along a route, so it tries to route me back to it. Or it will tell me a road is closed when it isn’t. Or try to send me on an exit that is closed. Or send me on an unnecessary detour through Yellowstone that would add an hour to my trip. Luckily I already knew where I was going. It also routed me to a scale that has been broken down for years, at a truck stop that doesn’t exist and is instead a trailer washout shack. It will sometimes freak out and tell me to turn around in a residential neighborhood, or on a road that doesn’t exist. Or it tells me I’m going the wrong way. Or I select a truck stop and it guides me somewhere completely different and I’m lucky to be able to get out.My Garmin is up to date, the Dēzl app is up to date, there are no updates pending. I don’t trust this thing at all, I want to throw it out the window. I’m honestly better off with Google Maps.

    Perfect For Route Drivers
IF you are delivery driver or even a school bus driver learning a route this gps is the way to go.Multiple stops No problemInstructions are easy to read and understandKeeps you on route and even warns you if you should take another route.I have dropped mine several times slip seating and have never had any issues with its tough well built construction

  8. Cameron Carson

Good but takes getting used to
So I run three GPS in my truck. Google maps, platform science copilot app, and this garmin. You can program your truck size and weight into this for it to give you a route that fits your truck. What I do like about this GPS is it won’t lie to you when you put an address in and it can’t find a good route. It will find the most suitable route and if there’s any issues it makes you aware of it. I was 80,000 pounds a few days ago and it told me it found a route but the route had one spot where I would be to heavy. This is where google and an atlas come in. This GPS isn’t a lifeline it’s simply a tool. I still plan my route but this does make it easier. So far it’s been spot on. It doesn’t take me out of route to bad either when I’m maxed out on weight. It tends to keep it pretty close to the quoted miles. I highly recommend for anyone in the truck driving industry but only as a tool. Not a life line. Use your atlas then plan off it with your GPS!
