The unit works perfectly to my satisfaction.
I just installed in my 2021 Tesla Model Y. There are no instructions included but it is fairly straightforward. The video on the front page shows the method of inserting the light strip under the dashboard, however I found this method is difficult as the lip is tight at the middle section of the dashboard. I assume this method would provide a reflection glow versus exposing the light itself. I used double side tape that came with the product and stick the light a little forward to expose the light strip. I use the remote to select a permanent light blue color. As far as the USB hub, the provided one doesn’t allow to install in the glovebox, so I replace with a smaller USB hub. With the provided infrared sensor, the light turns on when someone presents inside the car and turns off when there is no one. The unit works perfectly to my satisfaction.Update: at night, the reflection of the light to the windshield is a little annoying. Not sure how to address this problem.

BEWARE…DANGEROUS, this item will screw up your GPS signals and cause autopilot to malfunction. My GPS was working 100% before installed. Post install, my GPS couldn’t even recognize where my car was. While driving, my location showed I was in the middle of a mountain 3 miles where I actually was. I thought my car’s GPS antenna was fritzing, took it to Tesla and they couldn’t find an anything wrong. So I disconnected the wiring (basically turned it off) and my GPS was suddenly 100% again. I thought it was a coincidence. So I plugged the LED again and almost immediately my location started to act up. My screen kept telling me “Poor GPS Location Accuracy” and my autopilot kept making mistakes. Then I started suspecting if the LED was to blame. I turned disconnected it from the car and once again…my GPS functioned normally.Anyways, long story short, I looked up the possibilities online and learned that cheap LED strips/wiring can cause EM Interference especially with GPG signals. Due to the poor GPS signal strength, my autopilot could not maintain stable driving. DO NOT BUY!

Great DIY kit! Quick install
Buy it. It’s so easy to install and it makes a huge difference in the cab. I installed this on a Tesla Model Y and it was the perfect fit for the dash. YouTube has a few videos that shows how to install similar kits. No wires are seen, you are able to hide them behind the dash panel and feed into glove box. I didnt need adhesive as the light wedges perfectly under the dash. This product didn’t have enough reviews, so I needed to leave one- it’s great and a reasonable price. The occupancy sensor works great and shut off after 30 seconds inactive. It has multiple modes and colors, all work and look fantastic. Really great buy!

Very cheap product
Got this as a gift and installed it as instructed and it worked for a total of three hours. For some reason, it only illuminates about 12 inches of the strip most of the time, and then sometimes it will glitch out and start illuminating the rest of it but as a different color/colors not in the same pattern. The remote control When pressing one color will give a different color on most of the single options. The application has the same result this will be a returned, cool product idea, bad execution.

The light bar installed on my model y without any hiccups – be patient with stuffing the light bar inside the ventOnce you’re in it fits like a glove. Light quality is also good and I like the music and occupancy sensor integrations.I have 2 issues with this light bar hence the 3 stars given:1. Remote does not work when the glove box is closed.2. App literally wants to use your personal info for anything that is not even related to use of your light. If you value your privacy, DO NOT use the app. It’s absolutely unacceptable what they want you to permit for the sake of a light control.It works fine with a remote as advertised.
