The high-performance polymer applies effortlessly to fill in the microscopic pores in the clear coat/painted surface. The polymer molecules are able to chemically bond to the surface, which provides your vehicle with a dynamic and durable barrier to resist tar, tree sap, acid rain, road salt, and other environmental contaminants. Unlike a wax, this performance characteristic allows Finish First Polish to remove light scratches and swirl marks while leaving a perfectly smooth surface and a brilliant mirror-like shine. Finish First Polish will not haze, crack, chip or peel. It is safe to use on painted surfaces; acrylic, enamel, metallic, clear coat, fiberglass, and any other hard, non-porous surface. After several applications of Finish First Polish, all it takes is a quick wash to remove even the most stubborn elements. This versatile polish can also be used within the home on stovetops, bathroom tile, mirrors, windows, and fixtures.

Finish First is not the replacement for Liquid Glass, but it’s close
Many of us that have been into cars and car shows have used Liquid Glass for years and years. I, personally, have used Liquid Glass for over 30 years. Many were deeply disappointed when the Liquid Glass company shut down in 2018. What do you use now? After much research, I decided to try out two products… MPT Classic Polish and Finish First. For those tht don’t know, MPT used to be a part of Liquid Glass and their Classic Polish is probably the closest thing you’re going to get. The consistency is slightly more watery and the coloring is more yellow than blue, but otherwise, I couldn’t find much difference. It applies the same, smells the same, comes off the same, layers shine the same… It’s been a couple months since I applied it, so I’m still evaluating durability, but honestly, as best as I can tell, MPT Classic Polish makes a perfect replacement for Liquid Glass. It will clean stubborn tar and bug residue as it goes on and, once applied, tar and bugs wipe right off. If you’ve ever used Liquid Glass, you know what I’m talking about. In the picture I provided, I had a can of Liquid Glass in my garage… brand new… my last one. When I bought the Charger, I opened it and applied 7 coats of Liquid Glass to the Charger. The Jeep then became my test bed for the MPT and the Finish First. Everything forward of and including the front doors of the Jeep is 7 coats of MPT and everything to the rear and including the back doors of the Jeep is 7 coats of Finish First. The Jeep is about 4 years old and is closing on 90K miles. I see a lot of people choosing Finish First to replace their Liquid Glass. The only reasoning I could find, though was that Finish First comes in teh same type of can and has a Corvette n the front like Liquid Glass did. I mean, that’s great and all, but it doesn’t mean it’s the replacement for Liquid Glass. In fact, coming out in the 90s, it was a competitor of Liquid Glass for some time. That said, it is a quality product. It is blue, like Liquid Glass, though a little darker and a little thicker in texture. It does apply about the same and come off about the same. Where Liquid Glass (and MPT Classic) tend to deepen the shine with each successive coat, Finish First comes out of the gate with a great shine and may slightly deepen after 1-2 applications, but then doesn’t seem to deepen anymore. (Not that it needs to. It’s a great shine providing outstanding clarity). It doesn’t work quite as well cleaning stubborn tar and bugs during application, though it will clean them, you just have to rub a little harder. Again, I’m still evaluating durability. To be honest, it has so far matched point for point the MPT I’ve put on. It sheds bugs and tar once applied like Liquid Glass. I think either product is a viable replacement since you can’t get Liquid Glass anymore. To me, I felt the MPT product was almost an identical match (especially after just applying Liquid Glass and being able to compare the products directly) so it gets the tip of the hat from me. Either product, however, in my opinion will meet your expectations if, like me, you are looking for a replacement to the now unobtainable Liquid Glass. Now someone do me a favor and tell me what I can use to replace my Liquid Glass leather cleaner and leather conditioner that i can’t get anymore!

    Great polish/wax!
This is great stuff. I used to use Liquid Glass, which was great car wax. Well I guess it’s polish, but it worked extremely well at protecting the finish on my vehicles. Unfortunately I can’t find Liquid Glass anymore so I gave this a try because it is supposed to be very similar. Finish Line polish looks, feels, and even smells the same as Liquid Glass. It behave the same as well, meaning it applies the same way and last just as long. I still have water somewhat beading on the vehicles a year later!

This stuff has always been good
I use this stuff long before all this ceramic crap came out. This stuff still works as great today is it always has the more you put on the shiny it gets and the slicker it stays. It’s more expensive cheaper than ceramic though and I promise you it works great and comes off easy.

Very good alternative to Liquid Glass
Being a long time user of Liquid Glass, 40 years, I am very pleased to find a very good alternative. I read the reviews including, it aint Liquid Glass. No it’s not, that’s why we are all looking for an alternative. As far as I am concerned, this is as close as you can get, without being Liquid Glass. I applied it to my new truck, went on very similar, wiped off easily just like Liquid Glass. No mistaking the shine, made the paint look wet and like glass. I am extremely pleased, didn’t think I could find any product that even slightly resembled Liquid Glass. I feel like I should pick up a second can as a back up, for just in case.

Wished I had purchased this stuff first
I bought this item after using a product called “ Liquid Glass “ which for some unknown reason seems to be discontinued and unavailable. In attempt to find something that works as well I decided to try this product. It has been years since I have put effort in detailing and maintaining the exterior of my car so I threw away a ton of money on the popular brand waxes trying to obtain the smooth, clean, protected painted surface that shined and repelled water only to be disappointed by their results. This stuff is real easy to apply and remove with results that meets high expectations you probably have when taking care and spending time to have your car look good. This is the only stuff I found that leaves the finish shiny and protected that lasts about a year. Save time and disappointment with the stuff that delivered good results years ago but now is a waste of money because you won’t get results even close to what is seen in the photos I attached. Cheers,

    Absolutely awesome shine
Bought this on a whim while reminiscing about the past wanting Liquid Glass. Do not look any further because Finish First is an absolutely awesome, wonderful, fabulous, fantastic and easy wax to use. Take your time and do one panel at a time either in the sun or shade. Simply wipe on, give it 2 or 3 minutes to dry and wipe off. The reflective shine you get will blind you plus give you sunburn especially off of silver metallic paint. The gloss, depth and slickness will make your eyes dance. I was hesitant and expecting the worst but I can tell you that if you apply and wipe quick – YOU WILL NOT GET WHITE CRUSTYS around mouldings and trim. In my opinion, this is the real deal because it is the only product legitimate enough to have a legal m.d.s. ( material date sheet colored triangle) printed on the label.. My new go to 3 times a year wax.. Chemical guys – Adams – 303 and all the rest of the junk sold in the shelf can go take a walk and disappear in my opinion. Finish first is top shelf, first place and in a class of it’s open – top of the pyramid for being absolutely awesome……

Excellent finish on the mirrors behind the kitchen cabinets. No streaks. Granite countertops shine like they are new. Easily applied and polished off after it dries to a haze.Waiting to try my car next
