Glad I had it but …
Although the chip was helpful, and worth the investment, it’s not nearly as robust as the GPS itself when used in the USA. For example, whenever I wanted to travel somewhere in Italy, I had to pinpoint the exact location on the map and save it as a “saved location.” It wouldn’t recognize any typed in addresses. Also, if you just typed in a city, it would search for 2-3 minutes before eventually displaying a message that the Location was not found. This even happened with major cities like Rome and Florence. So before traveling anywhere, I used my phone to find the address, then went to the GPS and kept zooming in until I found the exact match in the GPS. Once I did that, I was fine. Having said that, the locations of most gas stations and restaurants were preprogrammed and easy to find. Hotels were not preprogrammed, at least those that I stayed in. In short, if you buy this chip, be prepared to find and save any important locations ahead of time.

Not Like 2009 style.
Didn’t work for me in Denmark. Okay in Germany and France yet took minutes to load.
