Magnets are useless for open window driving
Firstly, I bought this because it was the closest I could find for shading the drivers side. These days the sun is pretty hot and I actually get driving tan on the left side of my body. So I bought this to shield my driver side when driving. I gave this a 4 star rating because I think if you are a closed window/AC only person then this is built exactly with you in mind. But if you are like me, who likes their window rolled down but still want the shade, this is not for you. The magnets are tiny and not powerful. They don’t withstand an open window (even slightly) on any speed past 30 mphish. I tried the suctions – firstly, they are for a closed window- but I’ve tried them on my dash and back window.. they last a surprisingly little bit longer but once the magnets fall off from your door frame and it bears the weight of the shade, then they fall right off. They’re regular suctions– in my experience, most suctions fall off and cannot support much weight to begin with.The positive is that the cloth is substantial and cuts light, so sometimes when the shade falls down, I use it as an arm cloth to keep my arm from getting farmers tan. But ideally, I wanted this to also shade my face.

Work well!
I have a Honda CRV 2018. These fit on the back windows pretty well for my daughter to change into her ballet clothes after school. It gives her privacy and is easy for her to take off and put on herself (she is 11). The magnets click on easily and she doesn’t use the suction cups, but we did the first time we used it. She actually had a hard time getting the suction cups off, so they are very firm against the window! These are good quality for the price! So please I bought a second one for the other side of the car just to give her more privacy.

Good shade, poor fit
The car shades do a very good job of reducing direct sunlight. They were advertised to fit a 2007 Dodge diesel crew cab but they were not even close. Fortunately they were too large. I measured the windows and my wife sewed them so they fit perfectly. The suction cups were positioned on the shades so that they would be completely useless. We did need them to hold the shade cloth closer to the window so we repositioned them to do that. They have good suction and stay put very well. The magnets do an excellent job holding the shade. Overall, with the adjustments we made I am very happy with the sun shades. They are exactly what I wanted to shade the truck for passengers. If they came the way we adjusted them I would give them 5 stars.

Finally!!!
This is exactly what I have been scrolling through Amazon to find and here it is. It is affordable, excellent quality. The mesh is double sided and looks great. It fits my Toyota Corolla perfectly. It’s semi transparent: perfect for my back tinted windows and front untinted windows. It’s what I need for that privacy when sitting in a parking lot. The suctions work pretty well because they are cone shaped and not flat. Although they are placed a bit to low passed the window. I’ll figure something out. Maybe sew them up higher.. The magnets are strong.

2023: worked well; 2025 UPDATE: terrible, quality took a dive, no longer recommend these
Updated 2025 review: I no longer recommend these; they changed them! Now the magnets are much smaller and do not hold the shade in place, some slipped off. One magnet is missing but the one which has all magnets, the magnets are not the strong quality as the 2023 ones but too small to hold the weight. The shades are heavier and thicker too and do not hang down right like a curtain on the front side widows as before. The old ones I could slide them open but this one is stiff and almost fills starchy. Not the same quality at all and I’m very disappointed. When I go back to order another set, I expect the same quality but sadly, seller or maker just changed it so much it’s not the same product.This was the 2023 review where I gave it 5 stars: Got these to use in my Dodge Grand Caravan van in the back. They stick well with magnets and stayed on for the drive, I didn’t use the suction cups. of course a negative is that I have to remove them before opening the sliding door but that’s not an issue in my case. Works well to block the sun and very slightly can see through them (very very slightly). I was amused by one review saying don’t use them while driving that you can’t see out the window! Please, of course you won’t expect to seee through a mostly opaque sun block shade, they aren’t for that!I really like them and was impressed that the magnets hold them up so well. I just fold them and stick them between seat and van’s wall when not using them. They look sharp and clean and neat. Especially love they block the bright sun when needed.I recommend them and glad I made a good choice

Bought these in April, they worked great for the first month, the material holding the magnets in started fraying. I posted a review and the companies customer service reached out to me. Allows Rain Into Car
Shade works fine but eliminates the door seal. When it rains, if your car is outside, the mesh will absorb all of the water and direct it right into your car and presumably onto your car seat.

Sadly these are impossible to see through while driving. The cups don’t stay on the window, the magnets fall off, they crumple, they are not tight to the window.
