Better than the spring loaded ones
I’ve had nothing but the thin fabric wire rimmed type of shades for a couple years but couldn’t find one to fit our little Fiat 500. Now that I have this I think I’m going to toss the spring loaded one in our SUV and get one of these to fit that. This is just 10 times easier to fold back up and secure with the buckle vs the twist/fold/stuff origami routine of those wire type. It also seems to do a better job at heat rejection, likely because of the bubble insulation layer and shiny foil top instead of just a thin gray fabric. It’s also possible to trim this which we decided against because of losing the finished edge and we can get the same length reduction just by keeping the last panel on each side folded which is necessary for our tiny windshield.Don’t go by any fit chart, measure your window both directions and find one that is correct in height which you can’t change without cutting but the width is more forgiving, make sure you go a bit wider. A few inches wider than your actual windshield is easily adjusted between the natural accordion shape and folding in the end panels if needed.

Glad I bought this!
I bought this for my 2023 Kia Soul in the 53″ size (xs). It fits nice and tight. I was uneasy about spending the money for this, but it is really well made and I am someone who was used to using a cheap thing that I just found in the garage. So, this is uptown. I just used it while waiting for my son to get done with an activity and stuck it in the window as the sun was burning into my car. It’s so nice and thick, my car stayed comfortable, the materials are really great. It has substantial stitching around the edges, and unfolds and folds easily. The buckle helps it all go back together and easy to tuck away. I would buy this again.

Adequate for Reducing Heat
After trying some other products that didn’t fit my vehicle, I gave this one a shot. It, too, does not really fit my Mazda CX-3 windshield, but it’s passable.The sides are too long, I have to squish it to fit behind the rear view mirror, and it doesn’t quite fit all of the little nooks. But when I put both visors down, it stays in place and does what I would expect it to do.It folds easily and the snap closure works perfectly. The reflective side seems to do the trick of keeping heat out. The fabric is very stiff, though, and folds more like a hardbound book than the towel-like, rolled sun shades of the past.The upside is that it probably reduces the temperature inside the car by 5-10 degrees on a really sunny day. (I did not use any scientific method to test this – it’s my best layperson’s estimate by feel.)The biggest downside, besides the imperfect fit, is that it’s enormous even when folded, and does not store well in my car – anywhere. It sits in the passenger side or in the back seat for now, but it’s not something you can just pop into the glove box or side door storage, as I mistakenly believed when I bought it. It would probably fit behind the back seats on the ledge below the rear windshield, but then it’s not as accessible to the driver. A more flexible and compact option would be ideal for me, but this is okay.It’s fine, but far from the best option. I didn’t want to spend more, so I guess I get what I paid for.

Best Windshield protection
This is the best, most sturdy Windshield protection I have ever bought. I like that the inside is black. Has I ngood clip to hold it together when folded. I was worth every dime.
