Works great, had to replace my broken dash cam charger. More than enough wire to pull from bottom of dashboard around the door to the top of the rear view mirror. Extra USB connection was a good bonus.

I own a uniden DC40gt dash camera which unfortunately has a faulty cigarette lighter adapter. Instead of using cheap fixes to solve the problem, i decided to purchase this mini usb adapter . Since my dash cam uses a mini usb port for power, it is a perfect fit for my device. It powers up my device and keeps it working effectively during my time spent driving. One added plus is that it comes with a usb port on the end of the plug. I wouldn’t recommend using that port to charge a Samsung galaxy, iPhone or any device that requires fast charging technology but for simple mobile devices like an mp3 player or a tablet. I highly recommend this mini usb car charger for anyone who needs a good replacement for a GPS or dash cam mini usb charger.

1 year update – Broke and blew the fuse in my car!!
Purchased this product in early March of 2022, not even a year ago (currently the beginning of Feb 2023). After a recent extreme cold, the unit no longer worked. I replaced the fuse and it died again, taking the car fuse with it! I take it apart gently and find that the springs for the tabs that hold onto the sides of the cigarette port pushed so hard onto this thin plastic that it snapped! I believe due to this, the two contacts made a direct short and caused the unit to become useless. I have a feeling the electronics still work but due to this damage it is unfixable without a new housing. Time to get a new one!!
