Nice adaptor for my dash cam
Using it with a camera and it’s working fine. It’s glued as expected.

    Great for Oculus Rift sensors
I wanted to place an Oculus Rift sensor in a rear corner behind my main play area to help with 360 degree movement. This is particularly helpful when using the Touch controllers because, while the headset has visible tracking markers on the back when you face away from your front sensors, the Touch controllers are often blocked by your own body. These seem well built, and the adhesive is quite strong. I’m actually a little worried about damage to the wall when removing it.Aesthetically, a white version of this might be more subtle for white walls, but the sensor itself and its cable are black, so it’ll be fairly noticeable regardless. I did find using a cable cover on the edge of a door frame made the cable run much more discrete, though.Otherwise, I’d prefer if the overall unit and the base were a bit smaller. I feel that it could be about a quarter of the size and still work fine for my use case.If you’re planning to use this for an Oculus sensor, be sure to use a powered USB extension cable for longer runs, and install a secondary USB card with a bus for each port when using many sensors– both are cheaply available on Amazon.

Great for light weight camera. Exactly what I’v been looking for.
I got it installed on my cargo van a month ago for my 360 camera. It holds very sturdy so far. No shakes at all. Will recommend for thus who looking solutions, how to mount light weight camera on windshield.I bought it in 2020.Now 2024 and this camera mount still there. Even I got replaced windshield, this short leg mount working great.

Perfect for a more secure webcam mount
I couldn’t get a single webcam to balance properly on top of my monitor (it has a thin top edge), this mount solves it perfectly. It was a bit difficult to peel off the 3M strip’s protective film without pulling the strip itself, but one pair of tweezers later and the mount was ready to go.The mount has no issue holding a beefier webcam and light ring, all while being incredibly compact.

    Well….
The stand is cute and compact however the adhesive glue doesn’t stick as hard and makes the stand unstable and has fallen plenty of times. I have stop using it because I don’t want it to damage my camera screen due to its unstability.

Perfect for 1/4” THD Radar Detector Mount
Suction cup mounts ALL SUCK!No matter how “big” or what brand, sooner or later – they fail – and let go!So I ditch them as soon as I open the box on a new detector or other such equipment. If you go to “Blendmount” for an aftermarket solution – it is ridiculously overpriced, and rarely meets the need “perfectly”.At $7 each – this type of mount serves the need very well. 3M adhesive holds the mount and its payload fixed to the windshield glass – without exception.Placing the detector unit in the “Fritz” or tinted band areas of the windshield obtains a stealthy but 100% operational status – while conveniently holding it in reach for the driver’s observation – yet NOT visible to LEOs on the prowl, (but watch out for RDDs).I dont know why even leading detector mfgrs still provide suction cup mounts (and those dumb coiled phone cords) that no serious user wants or keeps – unless it is too empower the aftermarket accessory sales.I will add that Even this mount could be improved on – by including an adaptive magnetic plate that attached – to convert the 1/4” THD mounting such that the detector is actually held by carefully selected Neo magnets. Some mounts employ this now. That allows quick removal for those “Virginia-like LEO” threats – or provides easy removal for database downloading (without changing the mount’s aiming or level adjustment attributes). But for $7 – these are excellent and work very well. Unlike suction cups – with this mount you won’t ever enter your car on a hot day to find that your equipment has fallen off into the floor! And you don’t need to “lick it” to “stick it” either! – RECOMMENDED!!

    Works well!
I used this to mount a Lighthouse for the HTC Vive. I mounted this to a piece of 1″ aluminum square tubing, and put a screw through it just to make sure it was really secure. I think the 3M tape that comes attached to the product would hold up well for most jobs, but since the Lighthouse vibrates (and is expensive and hard to replace) I wanted some added security. The mount is simple and seems to work well. The constant vibrations from the Lighthouse don’t seem to loosen it, which is great!

I’ve purchased three of these now for my Oculus Rift Sensors and they work perfectly. No problems whatsoever. The sensors thread on as they should and the 3M is very strong, even stood up to a clumsy friend stepping on the cable to a sensor no problem. At this price, they can’t be beat!

Worked well for what I needed it for which was mounting a webcam

  11. Vikash Narottam

Was functional on the dash of my car until the Australian heat rendered the glue on the pad useless

Honestly I was iffy before buying this. I have an oculus and two sensors. I setup both sensors diagonal from each other and it worked great. They never came down. When it came time to uninstall them (I was moving), and it was ridiculous how strong it was. I’m a 6’1″ gal, well over 230 pounds, and I grabbed the mount with my hand and tugged as hard as I could. Eventually I lifted myself off of the ground, and after a few seconds the mount snapped off. What was left was just a broken piece of plastic and the adhesive. No damage to the walls either. So I rolled my hands on the adhesive (it was all in one piece) and it rolled off gently and neatly leaving no marks whatsoever. I’m definitely buying this again to mount my oculus sensors and vive light houses. Great product!

  13. Purchase

The ball joint is a bit smaller than the previous batch.
