Super Convenient, Just a Small Delay Sometimes
This adapter is really handy and does exactly what it promises. Turning wired CarPlay into wireless makes such a big difference, especially when you just want to get in the car and go without plugging in your phone every time. Setup was quick and simple, and it connected easily to my iPhone. Most of the time, the connection is stable and works smoothly. I love how it reconnects automatically once the car starts. It feels like a small upgrade, but it changes the whole driving experience by making everything feel cleaner and more modern. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes it takes a few extra seconds to connect, and once in a while there is a tiny lag when starting. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s noticeable if you’re in a hurry.Overall, it’s a great product for the price and totally worth it if you want wireless CarPlay without changing your car system. Very convenient, compact, and easy to use.

I ordered this CarPlay Wireless Adapter for Apple, 2026 Upgrade Wired to Wireless CarPlay Adapter, Car Play Dongle Stick Only for Apple Wired CarPlay Cars and for iPhone iOS 10+, Plug & Play, Fast Stable Connection to use in my 2025 Kia Sportage PHEV.I find it a bit ridiculous that cars costing 50K and up still require you to plug in your phone to use CarPlay. If you have a car with an audio system that requires you to plug in your phone, one of these little adapters will allow for wireless connection. The first time I saw a wireless CarPlay adapter was about six months ago when I wanted one for my 2020 Kona EV. I remember that it cost somewhere around sixty dollars or so, and I was skeptical as to whether or not it would work. I went ahead and ordered it and… I was actually blown away by how easy it was to use and how well it worked. I immediately bought a second one so that my wife could use her phone when she was driving. More about that in a minute.I just bought a 2025 Sportage PHEV. In order to get wireless CarPlay, I’d need to opt for the 2026 model instead, and that would cost me about an extra 5K over the discounted 2025. There are a few other features in the 2026 that aren’t included in the 2025, but taken together they just don’t add up to 5K worth of value. The first thing I did upon purchasing the new car was buying two more CarPlay adapters. This was one of them. This adapter comes with a short cable (which you only really need if you don’t have sufficient space to plug the adapter directly into the USB port used for wired CarPlay) and a USB-A to USB-C adaptor (if you have a car with a USB-C wired CarPlay port.) The setup process is simple. First, you pair your phone to the adapter with Bluetooth. Then, the phone will connect using WiFi to the adapter. From that point on, your phone will automatically connect to CarPlay each time you start your car so long as both Bluetooth and WiFi are turned on on your phone. There are two potential annoyances that you need to be aware of, and I believe that both these annoyances are common to all of these adapters. First, many wired CarPlay ports are powered on even when the car is turned off. That means that your phone is going to want to stay connected to the adapter’s WiFi. Any internet usage, therefore, is going to be eating up your cellular data rather than your home WiFi. Second, the adapter can only be paired to a single phone. If two people are going to be driving the car, each person will need their own adapter. That’s why I needed two adapters for the Kona and why I’ve ordered two adapters for the Sportage. In order to save the car’s wired CarPlay port from overuse, I use a small cable to connect the adapters. That way, the cable remains connected at all times, and if the cable finally fails from the constant insertion and removal of a device, it will be a cheap cable that needs to be replaced and not some highly overpriced and hard-to-service piece of my car.I connected my phone using a cable just so I could verify that everything worked the same way whether connected with a cable or wirelessly with the adapter. The CarPlay screen in the car looked identical, and I did not notice any difference in how things sounded or features worked. If there is any lag, it is not noticeable. If you have a car that offers wired CarPlay and you have an iPhone that you would like to connect wirelessly, one of these adapters is really a no-brainer.

such a Convenient tool-a must have and easy to set up
Okay, so guys this is coming from a non gadget person. It took me some time to install it and I did not think that it would be so easy set up.It was very straightforward. Once I plugged in, I connected it to the device’s Wi-Fi. Since everything was updated already so just by connecting it all worked. No matter how many times connect and disconect happening, my phone connects in seconds and I am so relaxed.Performance has been great so far. I haven’t experienced any disconnects, the screen responds quickly, and everything works just like before when I used wire. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Works Well Once Set Up, Just a Few Small Quirks
This wireless CarPlay adapter does what it’s supposed to do and works well overall, but it wasn’t quite as plug-and-play as another one we’ve used before. If you’re not very technical, the setup might feel a little tricky, but for me it wasn’t a big issue once I followed the instructions. One big plus is how tiny this thing is — it barely takes up any space at all. Once connected, CarPlay runs smoothly most of the time. The only issue we’ve run into is with music playback. Occasionally it will show that music is playing, but there’s no sound. We tried following the troubleshooting steps provided, but the only fix that consistently works is unplugging and plugging it back in. Once we do that, it works perfectly again.Overall, it’s a solid adapter with a stable connection and great size. A few minor hiccups keep it from being a full 5 stars, but it’s still a good option if you want wireless CarPlay without replacing your head unit.
