Android Auto Working Again!
This fixed my problem connecting to Android Auto due to date mismatch. The date on my 2018 MB GLS 450 is incorrect and cannot be manually set. Therefore, Android Auto (which requires matching dates on phone and vehicle) would not connect. The CarPlay adapter has built in Android Auto and connects well. The dealer said my only fix for this date problem was to install a new infotainment system (new head unit) for $4700 + labor. This device fixed my problem with an order of magnitude cost savings. I can connect well with Android Auto now. I also plugged in a FireStick and I use my phone’s WiFi Hot Spot to for an internet connection to stream content onto the vehicles display. My display is not a touch screen, but the jog dial works well with it to make selections. Keep in mind that, for this to work, the vehicle needs to have a USB CarPlay or Android Auto plug interface. It cannot be a wireless set up, but it converts the USB plug connection method to a wireless one using the built in Bluetooth.

This product doesn’t work as advertised
Absolutely trash. If I could give this model a negative 10 I would. Car play features works “ok”. Even when you set up the “HDMI mode” with a Roku. You go through all that trouble of downloading the app. Just to get an error message stating the device doesn’t support the videos. On “every” video. Smh buy the old one instead. It works 10x better.

Absolute junk. CarPlay worked, kind of but the HDMI mirror feature DOES NOT WORK. barely connected half of the time and the other half no video displayed for any app. No included USB-C to HDMI cable either. TRASH TRASH.

Videos of this working were great, I could not get this to connect, gave up.
I am sure it is great but I could never get this to connect with my vehicle, gave up trying. Still sits in my center cubby, forgot about it or I probably would have returned it. Maybe I should try to set it up again.
