A Better Mouse Trap but this nifty device deserves more praise…
Pros:I was in the market for a decent phone holder for my vehicle b/c I got tired over time of my phone sliding left to right whenever I’m traveling to a destination as it was too wide for my cup holder. This device helped solved 2 issues: one for my phone holder while driving and two the issue of maintaining both cup holders as my vehicle naturally holds 2 slots.Now the base actually expands and retracts by a simple twist which is pretty nice in its design. It can fit in most cupholders in my opinion but if you desire a cupholder that’s much larger, you might want to look somewhere else.The best part is the actual ball point holder of the actual phone at the top of the cylinder. The way it works is that you have to snap-on the phone holder piece to the ball cylinder and it allows it to move at any direction that you want in great ease as along as you snap and lock it on correctly. The process is simple and the directions is literally shown on the actual box of the package. It’s that simple!Another thing to mention, the base of the cup holder or bottom part where you fit inside the cupholder there’s a small screw hole where you attach the base to the actual cupholder basically. You are allowed to shift the placement of the cupholder from the driving shift area either left most, Center, or far right. You’ll understand what I mean when you use it because it offers flexibility to move it’s placement so that you can avoid bumping your hand into the cup holder too often.Now to the Cons:The only thing I would like to have improved down the road is if the actual cupholder itself could be twisted to make the holder smaller or larger for cups as it would help maximize space. Can’t think of anything else.

Easy to assemble, is stable within the cars cup holder and it does hold my yeti cup. I do not like that the straight bar holding the phone doesn’t bend out of the way. The phone holder does click to reposition but it still gets in the way when reaching for my cup.

The bottom sits in your cup holder, the top rotates to expand some spacers out to clamp into your existing cup holder (gently- without causing damage)It does indeed hold your phone really well, at multiple angles.Its durable feeling and the soft ‘rubber’ seal that gently holds your cup stays flexible even in -20C weather.It holds your cup well and doesnt let it wobble around- regardless of what cup you choose. If it fits- it sits.The whole thing is pretty easy to clean. Pull it out, hose the whole thing off, let it dry, pop it back in. Dont immerse it in water, but a quick rinse is fine.The gooseneck is impressive, I’ll have to say. I wish it was a little longer so you could flex it down more, but thats small potatoes. Extendable gooseneck would be *chefs kiss*The gooseneck has got a nice stiff flexibility to it. Its stiff enough to stay where you put it, but the inside is smooth so its easy to put where you want it.Howeverrrrrrr…. because I drive two different hatchbacks or a sedan- I find the whole thing bulky. It takes up too much space, gets in the way of my floor shifter, I rarely *need* the phone holder, so I rarely *use* the phone holder. Its a whole lotta bulk in my way for something I dont use a lot. If youve got a truck with a super low center cup holder- this would be amazing. Vans are often bad for annoyingly placed cupholders, so this would also be great in a van.

This car phone mount cup holder is well made with its design of flexibility and adjustments for personal use. The cup holder portion has adjustments to be able to fit this in the cup holder of your vehicle securely for travel, by way of rotating the bottom for the tabs to length per size of your cup holder. Allowing it to fit securely in many sized cup holders. Along with the mount adjustments for your phone, these are easy to secure it into place and angle for your proper viewing and ease of use. Setting it up was the easy part, and it does stay in place within my vehicle securely while travelling, with minimal shaking. The nice part of this mount/holder is the telescopic extension though. The telescopic extension was the feature that drew me in, with the attached cup holder. As much as that concept is ideal and practical, with this cup holder one is limited depending on the height of the travel mug used. The phone mount upon the telescopic post is too low even at its highest setting to be able to take my personal travel mug out without my phone being in the way, and I have to swivel the phone to another angle to remove my mug from the holder. For medium size travel mugs this may not be problem, but for taller ones such as mine I found it bothersome with that mug.Overall my opinion of this car phone mount with its attached cup holder is solid in design, and I love the features it provides. Being able to securely tighten the adjustments for ease of use within my truck securely. I even found the phone mount secured my Samsung phone, with limited vibration during my travels. I just wish the telescopic portion had the capability to extend at least another 2 inches for ease of utilizing my favorite travel mug without having to re-angle my cell each time I wanted a drink. Although a taller telescopic range, may cause more vibration and not allow it to be reliable. This one works well with another travel mug I have though, so that is a personal preference for one to consider when purchasing. Great concept and design, at a reasonable price.

For the basic features of holding a phone at a driving safe height and preserving cup space this mount is excellent, with even the anti-shake is acceptable. Assuming everything works as claimed.Once I got it working everything has been fine, but getting there was such a pain I almost threw it out in frustration.- Installation instruction are to connect the cup holder to the base and then rotate to lock in place. This only works if you are on the center mount and not offsetting for whatever reason. Otherwise you need to lock the base in place before connecting.- The base on my unit did not expand the grips until I twisted it so hard I heard the (plastic?) gears grinding. It took a 180 twist counter-clockwise out of the box to “break” whatever was stuck and allow it to function as intended.- The cup holder, while a nice feature is obnoxiously large, especially if your shifter and holders look like the 4th promo image. I had to offset it closer to the passenger to reach shifter and other controls safely.With a smaller cup holder or making it an optional attachment, and improvements to the locking mechanism this would be perfect. The height adjustment is simple, phone holding is secure with room for charging cable, and when the locking works, it’s not going to move at all.
