Fun and multipurpose night lights
These little USB-powered LED lights work exactly as they should, and it’s fun to be able to choose different colors and light patterns. They’re designed to be used as ambient lighting in a car, because they can plug into the USB (large USB, not USB-C) outlet on a phone charger, but they can be used as a night light anywhere. I think these are especially going to be great when we travel. They’re very small (about the size of a disposable lighter) so they’re easy to pack, and they will be perfect to use as nightlights in hotel rooms. Hotels usually have USB outlets built into the bedside lamps, but I’ll also be able to use these with my normal phone charger so I can set up a nightlight in the bathroom.I’ve only found one place that these don’t really work. I tried plugging it in to the USB outlet on my laptop (Macbook), and it lit up just fine, but the light itself is too wide to let the laptop sit evenly on the desk while the light was plugged in. I’m not going to deduct any stars for this, because this isn’t what the light was designed to do, but I did want to mention it in case anyone else thought they could attach the light to their laptop. It would be fine if I was using a laptop stand or actually holding the laptop in my lap, though!

Pretty neat idea thats works very well.
These are pretty neat, the quality is excellent and they work well. Very well packaged. The only issue I had it the brightness. You would most likely have to put this behind something so you just get the glow. Its not the lights fault its an LED. They are typically more piercing than they are soft. Works with any usb connection as far as I can tell. I thought it was a pretty neat idea and I like these. The one star knock is for the brightness. Maybe a future gen will have a brightness level? All in all, Pretty cool item that works really well.

This set of 2 frosted bottle USB LED lights (with standard USB-A plug) with Touchable control are just as described in the product photos.The range of color and pattern changes (see the product photo that shows them all) is quite impressive – you just plug this into a USB port and you’re off and running!A good thing to understand is that a short tap on the top of the “bottle” will change the mode, and that’s really easy to walk through all the color changes (if you purchased the multi-color model) and all of the moving color patterns. Then a long press will turn the light off (or back on again).I’m not sure if this would be suitable in the car near the driver – all those colors and flashing patterns might be a bit much.It’s worth thinking about where you are planning on plugging this in – the USB ports are sometimes out of the way and it wouldn’t be helpful to plug this directly into one of those ports, but instead you might need to consider acquiring a USB-A extension cord if you don’t already have something like that sitting around from some other device your purchased. (I happened to have an USB-A Extension for one of the dongles that I’d purchased long ago, and I think that should do the job fine.)

This thing gets bright. Not every color but the lighter ones really shine. The effect itself is cool and i like all the different modes. The power consumed is minimal so this works as a nice portable light if you have a portable power bank or a usb adapter for your phone. It remembers the last color or mode set so you dont have to change it every time its powered on. The frosted look helps break up the light and not make it look like just lit up leds in a row. I haven’t had any issue with it coming apart when removing from the usb its plugged into but i have had it happen with other small devices like this but thats usually when the usb is a tight fit. So just be careful on those and pull from the base as you remove it and it should stay together. All in all i like it and keep it in my car for a lower light because its plugged into a usb for a phone charger.
