So far so good.
The biggest problem I have experienced with these dash mounted displays are during the summer they get direct UV heat. I’ll throw a reflective screen on it when I park. The display is good, so bright you don’t need the reflective stick-on for the windshield. I wanted it generally for the tachometer as looking down to the car display at fast speeds is not recommended, unless you want the ditch.

Pro tip: TRY READING THE MANUAL FIRST. Seriously. Unless you’re some kind of thumb-wheel savant or video game speedrunner, this thing will test your patience and your will to live.All the settings live on what I lovingly call the Scroll Wheel of Doom™… a tiny little dial that scrolls up, scrolls down, and pushes in to select. Sounds simple, right? Oh no. There are also short taps, long presses, short scrolls, long scrolls, and probably some secret Morse code function if you do it while holding your breath and inverting the display.Get everything set just right, scroll a hair too far and BOOM! back to factory reset.Important note:This is NOT compatible with a 2008 Smart Passion.Plugging it in lit up the ABS and BRAKE lights like a Christmas tree. It technically worked for engine monitoring while idling, but spoiler alert: the car won’t go anywhere when the Smart thinks it’s about to roll into traffic without brakes.So I slapped it into our 2010 Ford E450 shuttle bus conversion, and holy crap it’s magic.I can now monitor speed, engine temp, and yes, if you happen to remember all the algebra you forgot in high school, you can configure the MPG display (which absolutely no one will ever care about, but it’s there if you want to flex).The tach is surprisingly responsive, but everything’s in metric, so… good luck changing that. (Refer back to the Scroll Wheel of Doom™ and pray.)It’s a great heads up display, hobbled by that insanity of Scroll Wheel of Doom™. I can set it up in 5 minutes, some kid who solves rubix cubes maybe a minute. Only reason it did not get 5 stars…

Quality is questionable
Looks great but…I bought this item on July 20th and today is Sept. 21st. It now quits working daily and I need to unplug and plug in againCould be the wire but wiggling cord has no effect.Only a restart will work. I think the main unit is failing already.I am out of the return window as well….

A couple things to know
First the product was very easy to install. Just plug it in and position it.Second The product is a little bit difficult to configure. There seems to be a lot of settings that need to be calibrated.Third, the film that sits on the window is dark and reflective from the outside. It’s dark enough that I would have a concern that I might get pulled over for it.Fourth there’s no simple way to adjust the brightness without entering the configuration mode. At least I haven’t found a way to do that.I’m using the product in a 2003 Honda Element which is notorious for a dim speedometer. In this application this device works perfectly.

Not accurate above 40 miles an hour
Nice bright unit. Secures with the sticky pad that comes with it. Accurate to 42 mph. Then it goes off by about 5%.No way to recalibrate it or to reset it. Because it plugs into the OED outlet it should be accurate at whatever speed I would recommend you continue looking for a different heads up display rather than purchasing this one.
