The AILAIKE Car Cover is an all-weather car cover that impressed me right out of the box with how heavy and substantial it felt. Once I unfurled it, the thing was massive — my first thought was that it would be too big for my car. I was quickly corrected when I fitted it and it slipped on like a glove, covering my Mazda CX-5 with surprising precision.The cover is well made, with gussets for wind and ventilation and a zipper to access the driver-side door. Reflective tape gives you a clear reference for front and back, and the cover even accommodates side mirrors. The inside is lined with a soft spun material, while the outside is nylon with the reflective tape markers. It also comes with a mid-section underbelly strap, which can be a bit of a pain to bend down and clip into place, but it will definitely help keep the cover from blowing off in a windstorm.For storing your car in a garage or storage unit, this cover is perfect. Where I start to have questions is out in the elements. I have no doubt it would protect the car to some degree, but a cover that’s already quite heavy when dry is going to weigh considerably more when wet. How long would it take to dry? Would it stick to the car in ice or snow? Could it protect against hail, even the small stuff? I haven’t tested any of these scenarios and I’m not particularly inclined to — I got this for indoor storage to keep dust off the car during long sits in the garage, and for that purpose it works great.The other concern is the black material. Left out on a hot summer day, the interior temperature of the car would almost certainly become dangerous and could potentially damage finishes, bake electronics, or worse. When you weigh the pros and cons, I think indoor storage is where this cover really shines. While it may help keep rain or snow off in a pinch, what you’re left with afterward is a massive amount of wet nylon that would be unwieldy to handle and impossible to fold and store until it dries out. For the money, this is still my choice.

Car cover that does the job for our Porsche Boxster
I got this waterproof all-weather car cover for our Porsche Boxster. It was a bit big (as expected since it’s a universal fit), but we made it work by tucking and securing it properly. Once in place, it does the job well. We got it to keep water out during rainstorms and it works perfectly. The soft inner layer protects the paint without scratching.The 10-layer material feels durable. The vents help prevent moisture buildup.It’s much better than the tarp we kept trying to keep secure in high winds. For the price and protection it provides, it’s solid. If you have a similar-sized sports car or convertible and don’t mind a little extra fabric to tuck, this cover works fine.

(Black PU Oxford Fabric, Fits SUVs up to 190″)” is lightweight but feels fairly durable for the material, which seems decent for basic protection from dust, sun, and rain. My 2018 Toyota 4Runner is technically about half an inch longer than the listed size limit, but I decided to try it anyway and it actually fit very well. The fit was snug, which I liked because I thought it would help keep the cover in place. The zipper and vent are nice features and overall the cover looked good once installed.Unfortunately the main problem showed up once there was any wind. The cover only has a single thin strap that runs across the middle of the vehicle from one side to the other. That’s the only thing holding it down. Even though the cover fit tightly, the front started lifting as soon as a light breeze picked up, and once that happens the back isn’t far behind. In windy conditions it just doesn’t stay secured.I have two other car covers that I received through Vine for different vehicles, and both of those include multiple heavy duty straps at the front, middle, and rear that can be run through the wheels to anchor them securely. I was surprised this cover only includes one strap, especially at around the $60 price point.I actually tried using it when a hail storm was expected while my garage was being refinished. I placed a cargo pad on the hood and put the cover over the vehicle hoping it would add some protection. The storm luckily passed just north of us, but the wind still blew the cover up off the front and back of the 4Runner so it ended up hanging like a loose belt around the middle.The fit itself is very good and I do appreciate that it worked on a large SUV like the 4Runner. However, without additional straps to hold it down, it’s hard to trust it outdoors where I live in the Midwest because wind is pretty common. For indoor use, like covering the vehicle in the garage to keep dust off, it will work just fine.Overall the materials and construction seem decent, but the lack of proper tie-down straps really limits how useful it is outside, And to me really drop the value for the money.. Adding a couple more straps would make a big difference for very little extra cost. Because of that I can only give it three stars.
