A car speaker phone that actually works well, with great customer support
I’ve been very impressed with the sound quality (both when talking and listening), solid Bluetooth connectivity, volume, and general functionality of this SUNITEC speakerphone. Basically, it does the job that I need it to do without any complaints. Other speaker phones that I have had in the past have had problems with sound quality, Bluetooth connectivity, motion detection, battery life, etc. This is the best car speaker phone that I’ve ever used, regardless of price or associated brand name.I’ve got the speakerphone clipped to the visor, which works out well for me. To address powering the unit, I installed a small 12 volt to micro USB converter (powered by the circuit going to the courtesy lights above the mirror) just out of sight in the headliner. A short micro USB cable then routes to the speakerphone, so I never need to mess with recharging the unit (since it is always recharging when the car is on). As a result, I don’t have much experience with battery life when used in a more conventional manner.About 16 months after I purchased the speakerphone, it died. I tried to use it one day and it simply would not respond. No beeps or voice when powering on or off, no changing lights, reset did not work, etc. Nothing. But I contacted customer support through the usual Amazon “contact the seller” path and I explained the problem to them. Emma from SUNITEC support responded very quickly and truly tried to help me get the unit working again.Unfortunately, we had no luck resurrecting the dead unit. But even though the unit was out of warranty, Emma offered me a 50% discount on a replacement unit. Since I’ve been very happy with this unit when it worked, I decided to take her up on the offer. Within about two days I had the replacement unit at the 50% discount.Would I have been happier if the unit never failed? Absolutely. But I am very happy with their customer service and the final resolution. I’d be happy to give them my business again.

It Just Works!
My state is making use of hands-free technology mandatory, effective next year.Although I should have done it sooner, that prompted me to try out this SUNITEC bluetooth hands-free device.I’ve used it for the last two months and it’s worked perfectly. No glitches, no trouble pairing. I charged it before installing it, and it’s still almost fully charged. It wakes up when it detects vibrations from the car door opening, and promptly and consistently pairs with my phone.It puts out sufficient volume. In fact I had to reduce the volume.Installation amounted to charging the device, and clipping it to my sun visor. Of course the clip was included. One charges it with a standard USB-C cable.Although the device is perfect for phone conversations, I would not recommend it for listening to music, unless you’re not very picky. The sound quality is great for phone conversations, but not for music.

Does the job, but not first choice for playing music
I bought this for my new driving daughter’s 2003 truck, which for obvious reasons is not equipped with bluetooth, nor anything other than a radio. The idea is that she can safely communicate hands-free but also stream her music through the speaker. It is excellent in the bluetooth capacity, clear for speaking, responsive and loud enough. I like the fact that you do not have to continue to remember to power on/off this device, as it is controlled by the presence of the paired phone. It also seems to have nice long battery charge life (but comes with a cigarette lighter adapter for charging if required in the car). I like the clip option to place it on the visor. I would have no complaints, in fact, had I not also chosen this specific one because some reviews referred to the good sound quality of the speakers when playing music. Frankly, it is rather “tinny”. The sound coming straight from my phone would actually be better. That said, I would absolutely purchase this solely for the purpose of making a car bluetooth compatible, but definitely not for the speaker sound quality. The value is good, the shipping was quick and the instructions were easy and clear.

Very clear sound and simple to set up
The sound quality is excellent and it paired immediately. My car is 21 years old so I wanted a handsfree device as my earbuds can irritate my ears. I tried one that operated through the radio but I could never get it to pair. Went simpler with a speaker version and it is absolute perfect to create a great sound hands free environment. Works well with Google. Easy to adjust volume. I’m very satisfied with this purchase and recommend it to others

Volume on Audio is Disappointing
Easy to connect via Bluetooth, and clip to visor is very convenient.Unfortunately, when connected via Bluetooth for phone calls, the audio I play on my phone also comes throughthe speaker, which is not nearly loud enough. I listen to a lot of audiobooks on long commutes, and my phone speaker is significantly louder, but then I wouldn’t be “hands-free” to answer a phone call.Phone calls are clear and have good volume, but other audio streaming through does not.I actually purchased this version of the device because someone had noted that it was louder than a less-expensive version, but I am still disappointed.

The BC980P was just what I was looking for as a car BT speaker for my cell phone. BT works great, audio is good, and battery life is great.After 11 months I couldn’t get the BC980P to connect to my phone, the status lite would just blink Blue fast. After emailing their support Emma replied and asked me to try resetting the BC980P. I had already tried this, but did the procedure again;, however, the BC980P the status lite would just blink Blue fast.Emma said they would replace by my purchasing another from Amazon, providing the order number, and then crediting that order. I’m pleased to say they did exactly that, credited my order. I’m very please with the product and the support provided by Emma and Sunitec support!

En serio, deja de buscar. Si como yo has probado varios con una decepción tras otra éste no te decepcionará. Funciona, simple, se oye bien, me oyen bien, volumen suficiente (no lo llevo al máximo), incluso con la ventanilla abierta (aunque mejor cerrarla, obviamente). Se conecta automáticamente al llegar al coche, siempre (no lo he probado con dos teléfonos ni me hace falta). Funcionan bien las órdenes vocales (las que admita tu teléfono o asistente). Y a mi la batería me dura infinitamente (el dejarlo encendido cuando bajas del coche no gasta apenas batería, se pone en stand by el solo y se despierta cuando abres la puerta del coche, no me ha fallado nunca en mes y medio), y todavía no he tenido que cargar la batería en este tiempo. No es demasiado voluminoso, y en el parasol ni pesa, ni se nota ni se ve desde fuera.Sinceramente, muy satisfecho y no puedo sino recomendarlo. No sigas buscando, el mejor que he probado, mejor que otros mucho más caros.
