This Black & Decker pivot handheld vacuum is a powerhouse. Great for picking up pets hair. I have two very large huskies and I have hard floors throughout my house. If you have pets you will understand what I’m saying when I say that the hair collects in the corners & behind doors, along the walls and behind bookshelves -in all those places that are hard to get to- no worries though! this hand held vacuum is the most powerful that I’ve tried so far for its type. it picks up those debris quickly and easily. it does have a couple of quirks. As some of the reviews have mentioned, the hinge broke on the door. Apparently this is a weak spot or design flaw that I hope Black & Decker can redesign for future models. I was able to put it back together but I am glad to know that I can call Black Decker and they may replace it for me. Thank you to that reviewer that gave us that information! I appreciate that info so much! I’ve used my vacuum for about six months. I love it so much that I am going to buy one that’s similar from Black & Decker I’m going to buy the one with the hose because it looks like the exact same kind but canister style with a hose. it might be easier to get behind certain places. I am happy and impressed with Black Decker’s hand held vacuum. I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get the job done and done well/ #1 in its class by my estimation. One last thing that is a bit of a drawback -when I bought generic filters that looked exactly the same, the generic filters do not fit well into the unit so that you cannot close it properly. I spent 20 minutes wrestling with it and just concluded that I would try and save you that same pain and let you know to buy the Black & Decker brand filters – that they will fit properly and you will save yourself a lot of of grief. I’d like to end this review with some positives – the vacuum is powerful – has great battery life – it is attractive and it fit well on its charging cradle – it will charge pretty fast – it opens and comes apart easily to be able to clean & although I want you to get the black & Decker filters they are reasonably priced and work extremely well. This is a game changer! I came across this while looking for a portable vacuum for my car and after ordering 2 from other places online that I was disappointed in because of the lack of suction power, poor battery life – I came across positive reviews for this and decided to try it out — and I could not be happier! The battery life is great, it is portable and the perfect size to keep in my kitchen , where I have found I need it the most! It is my go-to every day item I use within my home, whether it is to clean up crumbs from cooking on the floor or the dirt my little ones brought into the house, this can do everything a full size vacuum can do – but without having to go through the hassle of getting it out of the closet, plugging it in and the things I usually don’t want to deal with in the moment of real life happening. The assembly is easy (I believe anyone and everyone could do it). And the fact that it is cordless, I am able to use it in my home and in my car because the suction power and amount of dust collection is amazing. Forget what anyone else has told you , if you are looking for a powerful vacuum that is cordless and will have the battery life to get the job finished, this is the thing you must have. I also love that it has a little extension piece for hard to reach areas as well as a fold out tip with soft bristles – so I can use it on my wooden table to help clean up any mess from dinner in an instant!

Good suction power rated at 35 air watts, nice design, made easy for cleaning the vac, built quality seems very good.I bought this Black+Decker BDH2000PL to replace the my old PHV1800 Pivot Vac by Black+Decker. The Pivot Vac PHV1800 is an older version of the hand held vacuums currently made by Black+Decker. The PHV1800 worked very well for more than 5 years. It has very strong suction power at 35 air watts and the battery life per use was decent until recently, the suction is still strong but the battery life per use was fading more and more during the years of use.The PHV1800 was a very good vacuum and I wanted a comparable replacement hand held vac made by Black+Decker that had 35 or more air watt suction power. I did some research and the only close comparable hand held vac made by Black+Decker was the new version Pivot Vac PHV1810 and this BDH2000PL MAX, both of these vacuums also have 35 air watt suction power and the only hand held vacuums currently manufactured by Black+Decker that has 35 air watt suction power. All the other hand held vacuums made by Black+Decker has less than 35 air watt power.The differences between the PHV1810 and the BDH2000 PL MAX vacuums were the volts, weight and battery type. The PHV1810 is 18 volts, 4.5 pounds and uses a NiCad type battery. The BDH2000PL MAX is 20 volts, 3.0 pounds and uses a Lithium type battery.So I decided to go with the BDH2000 PL MAX, mainly because of the 20 volt, Lithium battery and the 35 air watt power.I just received this vacuum and it works well so far, suction is good and battery life per-use is decent. Will see how this vac holds up, will update review after some more time using the vac. If it holds up like the earlier version PHV1800 hand held Vac, then I’ll be a happy camper.

It Works Great
This is a really powerful hand held Vacuum. I have had several vacuums of this type over the years, and they were nowhere nears as good as this one is. Very easy to use, I easily did the perimeter of my living room and the flight of stairs where dust seems to collect and this jut makes it disappear fast. Also very easy to clean. I plant to get one as a gift for a friend I like it so well! Some reviews said it had a short battery life, but I sure never have had a problem. I use it for small jobs and put it back on the charger. I recommend this vacuum cleaner.

This is a very powerful handheld vacuum cleaner. Very useful for picking up the bits from the kitchen and diing room floor. It’s also good for cleaning the seats and floor of the car. Much better than having to get out the big vacuum cleaner. Just the job!

Das Produkt wurde leider mit amerikanischem Netzstecker geliefert und ist für mich so unbrauchbar. Sehr ärgerlich! In der Produktbeschreibung ist das nicht offensichtlich. Es gibt lediglich den allgemeinen Hinweis “US internationale Produkte möglicherweise von den deutschen Versionen abweichen.” und “Verkauf und Versand durch Amazon US”. Ich hatte mir nicht träumen lassen, dass dann ein Gerät mit amerikanischem Stecker ankommt. In Zukunft werde ich also auch auf dieses kleine Detail achten müssen. Dieser Ärger wäre nun wirklich vermeidbar.

USA Plug and USA Electricity (110v volts) sold to me on “Amazon.nl” in Holland WITHOUT ANY MENTION ON THE” AMAON.NL” WEB PAGE THAT THE PLUG WOULD NOT FIT INTO THE WALL SOCKET IN HOLLAND AND THAT THE VACUUM CLEANER WOULD BE DESTROYED IF I PLUGGED IT INTO THE WALL SOCKET IN HOLLAND!

Great little hand vacuum for cleaning small messes that I’d rather not break out my bigger Hoover for. It’s light, compact, stores easy and the charging dock fits basically anywhere. Takes 4 hours to charge from a dead battery, lasts long enough for what I need it to do. The built in extension and brush are fantastic so I don’t need to fiddle with extea attachments. Noise is actually expected for a vacuum, it’s about as loud as my Hoover so I don’t mind.Very easy to clean out too.I highly recommend it.
