Excellent stuff!Well above expectations, for sure.Aluminum made, looks great!It took me about 2,5 hours to install (first time doing it).No other tools needed. You would only need a ladder, some quickwittedness, PATIENCE and time.PS: more than twice chaper than Mazda original rails/cross bars.Thanks again!

A decent alternative to OEM
2024 Mazda CX-5The side rails are very nice quality, perfect fit, nice polished aluminum. The crossbars are stout though the cast support stanchions are a little sloppy where the crossbars fit into the openings. This is more an appearance flaw and doesn’t effect mechanical integrity.Some people have trouble breaking the plastic bolt cover on the rails when snapping into place. This is because the manufacturer doesn’t deburr the machined opening edges. They are sharp and catch the flexible clips on the plastic cover. I used a machinist swivel deburring tool to take off the sharp edges, both outside and inside edges. You can also use a fine grit sandpaper 400 or greater but be careful not to scuff aluminum finish on rails. I sprayed soapy water on plastic covers also when snapping into place, had no trouble. The manufacturer should have the side rail bolt openings deburred at the factory and possibly tighten casting tolerances on the stanchions. It would definitely be a five star.

Affordable, Good Looking Alternative
Two trips with loaded Thule cargo box, so far so good.Son and I installed these in about 45 minutes. There is a helpful video on YouTube. More reasonable $ than buying stock components from Thule or Yakima. Good purchase.

High Quality Product
I received the kit in three days. It was packaged very well and wasn’t missing any parts. The instructions weren’t the best however, I found several videos on YouTube that made assemble and mounting easy.The materials are high quality. I must say I didn’t expect the rails and rack pieces to be of such high quality. Mazda’s OEM rack and rails cost much more but are of the same quality.Everything fit perfectly on my 2021 CX5. I opted to put on the rails instead of the dealerships $500.00 cost of including them in the package. Glad I did!It’s a bit tedious to attack the racks to the rails. I used a small ratchet and extension with a 30mm Star bit. Made it much easierYou will not be disappointed.

Tough to install, but does what it needs to do.
Tough to install, but a good fit for my 2017 CX-5. Fasteners are difficult to line up and tighten. Had to re-tighten them after a few trips with my kayak, so I recommend that you check to make sure that the fasteners aren’t backing out after each use. Seems like a good value for the money though, and the materials appear to be durable.

Be careful pushing in the plugs to finish off the rails. May have to knock some of the edges down a bit. Overall nice looking and very sturdy. Great rack! HA

Not compatible or defective
Does not fit on 2022 CX-5. Product looked to be returned when I received it. I had to return it myself, received another brand and it went on easily.

If not identical, very similar to OEM – except for the caps
This fitted just fine on my wife’s CX-5. We traveled with my astronomy equipment in two boxes strapped to the roof for more than 1000 miles. No issues whatsoever.Only problem I see is that the covers for the screws that fix the rack to the car are really flimsy. They send two spares, but I already broke three of them.

I exhausted many different options for my mazda cx5 2024 roof rack and I chose this one based on price, reviews and weight ratings etc. Was delivered quickly, i got in it today and just finished installing it. I have a single bay garage so maneuvering is a little tricky, but that being said it took me an hour and half so it’s a rather quick install. Couldn’t be happier with the look and feel of it. It seems very sturdy and im not concerned about putting my cargo carrier on it at all.

Carry Two Kayaks on these Racks . Recommend applying Blue Locktite to the Cross Member Screws !! They Tend to Back out over time !! Other than that They work great !! Note they are Identical to the Mazda OEM Racks for much less Money !!👍
