Super Handy Car Charger – Laptop & Devices, Works Perfectly!
Great item! I can even charge my laptop in the car using USB-C to USB-C, which is super convenient for road trips or working on the go. Small upgrade but very powerful. Compact, easy to use, and it works perfectly for all my devices. Highly recommend!

Sits flush and able to close cover on 4Runner
I have a ‘24 4Runner (I hate when people don’t say what it’s used on to help others decide) and this sits perfectly flush and I can close the cover on the dash cigarette lighter so it looks as though it’s factory. I can’t speak on power output but it works for my needs charging my phone fast enough. Like others have mentioned, it is very tight on plug end of cables. If you pull the cable it will pull the plug out too. Not a bad thing but I understand. Others plugged in and out their cables multiple times to wear it in or fix it. Has a small dim light which a lot don’t. I think it’s a must, helps to get your cable in the hole. (How many guys said the phrase in their head while reading that hahaha)

Great idea and low profile making it look good and functional
Fits perfectly in all three of my vehicles. Low profile allows for me to close without sticking above the covers. I plan on getting several more.

Great little USB charger.
Well thought out design, fits almost flush in the lighter socket and has a clever flip up tab to easily remove. Charges blistering fast too!

EXACTLY WHAT WAS LOOKING FOR
sorry about this for our ’07 4Runner and in the middle where we would plug in a car charger it has a closable flap and I needed something that was low profile that I would be able to so close it till the flap didn’t have to remain open and collect dust and crumbs and whatever else.it charges fast, it has been loves it. I also bought a flat USB cable that is angled at the charging post that way I can close the center console flap down and still be able to charge my phone.and everything works great.

Low profile, factory look
Love this outlet adaptor, have it in my C7 and the one I had before was so big you had to remove it each time and it use to come apart when you pull on them all the time. This one is so small it looks like it was a factory option and you can close the compartment without having to remove it. Just nice to have one that fits flush and if you do need to remove it there is a small ring you unfold to pull it out. Just well design and looks.

It’s good, but not 65W good. At $10 it’s still worth it though. Read on…
I’m being generous here with the 4 stars… While it fits my needs currently, it doesn’t perform as advertised.Depending on the documentation you’re viewing, they’d have you believe each port can reach a max power of 65W per port. Ok, fair enough (though officially per spec, USB-A isn’t officially capable of this much power). Realistically, you’d think that would leave enough headroom for both ports to potentially evenly split 65W of TOTAL power (so 32.5W to each port, but again, USB-A shouldn’t be capable of that much power), but it doesn’t. At the very least, it should be either 5W or maybe up to 12W on USB-A, leaving at minimum 53W for the USB-C port (though that’s not really a valid wattage number for this port) but it can’t seem to do that.So here’s my story:I have a wireless Qi2 phone charger that could use 17W max (15W for charging, so I assume the other 2W is for the active cooling) on the Type-C port and a dash cam both being powered by this car charger (as it’s USB-A into the car charger, I’ll assume this is 5W) at the same time.So as a test (I only measured the power going through the USB-C port, since that’s the only type of meter I have) I measured what was going through the Qi2 charger and it was pulling the roughly 17W it needed when it was the only thing plugged into the car charger. So far so good; now let’s plug in the dash cam with it. As usual for these types of chargers, there was a slight disconnection of power while it reroutes power to both ports, and then the power reading going to the Qi2 charger was now reduced to 10-11W. With the extra headroom left over from the 65W I assume this thing can handle, I wasn’t expecting that should happen (but I also wasn’t surprised either, so keep reading). Why am I ok with this? I don’t have or want to power more powerful devices through this charger while on the go, so I’m ok with the reduced power to the Qi2 phone charger when both ports are in use. Less power means less heat, which means the phone and Qi2 charger can sustain longer stints without potentially overheating… since running maps and music are really taxing on the battery and CPU (the active cooler of the charger should prevent this, but ambient temps do get pretty hot where I live so the extra headroom is appreciated). Maybe I’ll change my mind when I get a 25W Qi2 charger, but again I’m concerned about how much heat this would generate while in use. So until that issue can be resolved I’m ok with what I got.The price is pretty good for what it does (~$10 when I bought it), which gives it another break on its rating. Based on other reviews I had an idea of what I was getting into when I pressed the buy button. Now armed with this knowledge from multiple reviews, you’re able to decide for yourself if the price is worth the reduced real world performance of this thing.FWIW they didn’t need to falsely claim how much power this car charger can handle. It’s built pretty solid and still performs well enough for basic needs while in a vehicle. Then again it looks just like the others on the market, so it’s probably the same thing with a different brand stamped on it… Meaning don’t expect other brands to perform any different (of course, there will be outliers so read the reviews carefully and try to weed out the fake ones). $10 for this is about as good as it gets.
