We use this adapter in the car on trips, and we absolutely love it! It connects quickly and reliably, and having wireless CarPlay makes everything so much easier. The system runs smoothly, and the dual WiFi and bluetooth keep the connection stable.The ability to watch Netflix or YouTube–for passengers of course– is such a bonus, and the video quality looks fantastic on the car’s screen.Overall, it’s been a great upgrade for our trips — simple to use, feature-packed, and incredibly handy for long drives. Nice AI box style device at this price point
I’ve owned a number of CarPlay adapters, so I have some experience in this space. The Tronlink AI box comes in at a nice price point around 60 dollars, which is cheaper than most other AI CarPlay/Android adapters I’ve used. It only took a few minutes to get it connected to my phone’s Wi‑Fi, and I was streaming YouTube pretty quickly.The operating system is Android 13, and app compatibility is decent but not perfect: core streaming apps like YouTube work fine, but some newer or more niche apps may not be available in the built‑in app store or may not run as smoothly as they do on a phone or tablet. Because of that, it’s best suited for big‑name apps and basic media rather than every app you might use on your phone. Navigation in the interface feels a little slow compared with some competitors, but at this price point it’s probably acceptable. I was able to link both an Android phone and an Apple phone successfully, though the interface for the Apple device felt slightly delayed when accessing CarPlay.The packaging is nice, and it includes both a USB‑C cable and a USB‑A cable, which helps with compatibility across different vehicles. The unit itself has a relatively small form factor, so it should fit easily in just about anyone’s center console without getting in the way. Another standout feature is the HDMI‑out port: if you have monitors on the back of your seats, you can mirror the same video to those screens, which isn’t something I’ve seen on many other models. Sound quality is what you’d expect from your existing radio setup, and the audio has been consistently stable with no noticeable drops or distortion.The device does get on the warm side; that hasn’t been an issue in winter, but I am a bit concerned about how hot it might run in the summer. Overall, it’s not a bad AI box at all for the price, especially if you want affordable streaming, basic app support, and CarPlay/Android connectivity without paying for a top‑tier unit.

No glitches!
This is the third wireless CarPlay adapter I’ve tried and it works the best. Very simple set up. When used with factory settings, it takes you to a Home Screen initially where you have to select CarPlay before using. However, there are lots of customizable settings, and after turning on a speed play setting it now auto launches to the CarPlay screen (but does not automatically play the last thing you were listening to).The picture quality is good, I don’t notice a difference from the wired connection. Very little lag, unlike other brands. Been using for a couple months now and I’m very pleased with its durability. It’s worth the price to not worry about plugging and unplugging a cord.
