Great, so far. Brighter than ILS option. (Updated Canbus compatibility fail on 2016 Mercedes W212)
( I have added and update to the bottom)This is more of a first impression than a review, since I only got these yesterday. I have 2016 Mercedes E350 with the standard LED light package. Meaning, I have H7 halogens for high beams. When you hit the high beams, the contrast between the 6000k LEDs and the 3550k (Osram Night Breaker 200 in this case) is annoying. As good as the Night Breakers are, they are no match in color or brightness of the LEDs.I was looking at the Osram Night Breaker LED Speed H7 as a direct 1:1 replacement, but acquisition was complicated and I am impatient. Enter the RimThin H7 LED. I was worried these would cause warning messages on my Mercedes canbus system. No problem there. I was concerned that the color would not match the factory 6000k. Also a non issue. It looks like the factory kelvin is closer to 6300k and these are a true 6000k, but that is only if you observe very closely. I was also aware that some of these aftermarket LEDs have a slight delay when switching them on. Again, no problem at all. These come on instantly, maybe even slightly quicker than the factory lights? My final concern is about reliability and longevity. While these are very cheap and easy to replace, I don’t want to replace them after 6 months. If they last two years, I will be satisfied. Any less than that will be annoying and I will find myself wishing I had stuck with the Osram LED Speed Option at 6x the price. As a side note: My friend has the exact same car with the upgraded ILS light package and we parked them side by side last night. My factory low beams are brighter/ better than his AND my new RimThin H7 LEDs are FAR brighter, better than his $$$$ “upgraded” ILS high beams! When I shopped for this car, I was disappointed that I could not find one with these ‘upgraded’ lights, now I am happy I didn’t get the ILS system. My Lights look and function amazing now. I will try to come back and update this review if I have any rants or raves about these, lights, but so far, so good,Update: I bought these to use with my Mercedes as mentioned above. The brightness and even lighting of these was very good but- I was occasionally getting a Canbus alert to check the passenger side bulb. I have since learned that any bulb that does not consistently draw 30+ watts will trigger this. So these do not work for me. I have since ordered the “AUXITO H7 LED Bulb 30W 10000LM 6500K Cool White with Cooling Fan”. These are about exactly double the price, but they work perfectly- no Canbus alerts!.As for the Rimthin H7 bulbs, it just so happens I have a 100 series Landruiser in my yard with aftermarket ‘Depo’ light housings that take H7 bulbs for high and low beams. I have installed these for high/low and they are amazing and because the Landcruiser has no Canbus type system, no alerts will ever happen!. I will try to update here again if I have any issues with these in the Landcruiser.

Fits 3rd gen Prius, despite Amazon saying otherwise
Excellent for the price, bright enough to be confidently driving in any weather with tinted windshield. The exact candela output (lumens are meaningless) will depend on design of your headlights. I took a few measurements for the lighting nerds out there though…CCT: 7637K, quite a bit colder than advertised. CRI: 76.6, pretty respectable for cheap emitters. Naturally, the biggest dip is in R9, which reads at -1.8 (yes, that’s a negative value). In other words, it absolutely sucks at reproducing deep reds. R12 is barely adequate and reads just below 40, so don’t expect faithful blues either.Oh, and then of course there’s duv. In this case, duv = -0.0016, which is within both ANSI and EnergyStar recommended ranges. To summarize, the light is adequately bright, flicker-free, cold and very neutral with a slight magenta tint and pretty bad (although expected in this price range) red reproduction. More than adequate for driving, but if you’re looking for headlights to use in professional photo or video production – get a Beamtech (which costs 10x more, sadly).

    Very good led, great value.
Since my original review, this company has kindly reached out to try and help with my particular situation.I really commend them for that!I have edited since, and I thank them for there concern.I would definitely recommend purchasing from them. This is simply a review based on my experience with my Triumph Speed Twin 1200 motorcycle. This review is not intended to judge these led bulbs for use in other vehicles.Based on previous experience, I believe had I installed these on my previous motorcycle, a Suzuki V-Strom 650 with dual headlights, they would perform perfectly, as I also had 180 degree leds installed in that bike. However, for a modern Triumph motorcycle with a single round headlight, I would recommend an led with a 360 degree array of leds if such are available. These are whiter and brighter than the OEM halogen, but the pattern is affected due to the 180 degree right/left throw of the leds and design of the reflector in my OEM Triumph headlight. This pattern is not is not due to the design of the bulb alone, but rather the Internet design of both the bulb and the OEM headlight reflector of this particular application. For example, if I were to use an led bulb with a 360 degree array, if available, this would I’m sure solve my particular problem with this OEM headlight housing. The vehicle is a 2023 Triumph Speed Twin 1200. The parabolic mirror in this bike’s headlight is obviously more suited to a 360 degree light casting bulb.Again, this review in no way reflects on the sole quality of these bulbs.I think they are a very good option for many applications.I believe they would also work quite well in an S7 body Mustang 2005-2010, as I have also installed similar in my 2008 Bullitt Mustang.

    Worth the buy
I have an old school 90 Corolla and these fits perfectly, Plug and Play and of course a lot brighter/whiter.High Beam and Low Beam position and again, it works both Highs and Lows.I bought a different and more expensive brand BEFORE this Rimthin brands and the highs and lows do not work, just a fixed beam and I’m not sure if its the lows or highs only. So, I hope this LED Rimthin brand will last since old cars do not have DRL (daytime running lights) yet.It doesn’t flicker, so no canbus needed.I hope this will help you too. Thanks!

    Great for the price
Easy to install with basic mechanics skills. Very bright for the price. Great fit for my after market 2008 silverado headlights. Looks nice and clear compared to the yellow lights.

  6. edna epperson

Easy to install, and so bright!
These head lights are the best lights I’ve ever purchased. The installation was so easy. I like that they have fans built inside the light for heat resistance. They make my 2005 Toyota Sequoia look like a brand new car light so bright.
