A great (my first ever) car cover that kept my vehicle bone dry after hours of Bay Area rain!
I recently purchased a 2025 Mazda CX-5, and when I saw this as a Vine product I jumped on ordering it as I had already been thinking about getting a car cover for my new vehicle. I ordered the “YL size” (181″-191″). This size is a little bit snug on / near the side mirrors, but otherwise fits my 2025 CX-5, well. The material is a little thinner that I expected, but it does feel like it’s a good quality cover, and the inner layer that touches your vehicle’s paint is soft cotton, as advertised.A couple days after receiving it, I had just gotten my vehicle washed and there was rain in the forecast later that day, so it was a good time to test it out. After 24 hours or so of on and off rain, I removed the cover and found my vehicle was completely dry!There are no zippers or metal of any kind that might scratch your car, just 4 separate ties to secure it from the wind. I didn’t actually use these ties, as the cover fit snugly enough that I didn’t feel it was necessary, and without their use the elastic on the lower part provided a snug enough fit to secure the cover in wind with 10-15 mph gusts. In addition to the rain, this cover should also offer good protection from the sun (although I’m unsure about whether or not it will offer UV protection). I haven’t done much cost comparison with other car covers / competitor options, but the cover definitely seems like a good value for the $28 cost.I’ve never owned or used a car cover, but I will 100% continue to use this cover. I often go 2-4 days without driving my vehicle, and in addition to keeping my new car clean & dry during the NorCal rainy season / winter, it should also protect the paint until I’m able to get some PPF & a ceramic coating later this spring.
