We love this for road trips.
Okay, let’s be real: the “Netflix in the car” part is what got me. I bought this for my hubby’s 25 year old truck. He installed this adapter last week, and here’s what actually happens. For daily driving, the wireless CarPlay works flawlessly. No more fumbling with cables when he gets in his pick up. Maps, music, and messages pop up on the dash screen instantly. The connection is stable, and call quality is clear. Now, for the headline feature—Netflix. It works, but with a big, real-world asterisk. The video only plays when the car’s parking brake is engaged. So, it’s strictly for when you’re parked. We used it twice: once while waiting to pick up our Grandchild from practice (a game-changer for killing 20 minutes) and once during a long road trip while we were stopped for a break. The picture and sound on the truckdisplay were great for a passenger.

Take your own chance. It may cost ya
Would not pair to my 2024 4runner, and then returned it next day and got charged 20 bucks from what I paid.. They made money I get Hosed

Works Exactly as Advertised and Makes CarPlay Truly Wireless
This adapter does exactly what I was hoping for. Setup was very straightforward: plug it in, pair once, and after that it reconnects automatically every time I start the car. No more cables, which already makes a big difference for daily driving.Wireless CarPlay works smoothly and reliably, with no noticeable lag for navigation, music, or calls. Sound quality is just as good as with a wired connection, with no drop in clarity or volume. I also tested the built-in apps like YouTube and Netflix when parked, and they work well over WiFi or a hotspot. Screen mirroring is a nice bonus and functions as expected. The unit itself is compact and lightweight, and it barely gets warm even after longer drives, which is reassuring. Connection has been stable so far, and the system feels responsive. Overall, it delivers exactly what it promises and turns a wired system into a much more modern and convenient setup.

Takes some button smashing, but it works. 2016 Yukon Denali 🙂

No HDMI output
Doesn’t have HDMI output as shown. The port is there but super small.

Finally got rid of my cables in my Toyota.
I’m using this in my 2020 Toyota Camry (wired CarPlay only), and setup was honestly easier than expected. Plugged it in, paired once, and now it connects automatically every time I start the car. No more plugging and unplugging my phone on short trips. Wireless CarPlay feels very stable — navigation, calls, music all work smoothly with no noticeable lag. Definitely a solid upgrade if your car only has wired CarPlay.

Screen mirroring and HDMI are surprisingly useful
Installed this in my 2021 Subaru Outback, mainly to try the AirPlay and HDMI features. Screen mirroring works well for showing maps or quick videos from my iPhone. The HDMI output is a nice bonus — I connected it to a rear-seat monitor for passengers, and it displayed videos clearly. This is more than just a wireless CarPlay adapter; it really turns the car into a small entertainment system.

It does everything it claims to do. Works in my 2018 Kia Sorenro. Youtube, Netflix, and screen mirroring all work just fine. It runs its own android 13 operating system. It has the play store and you can install apps onto it. Only 4 stars because it is a little laggy and the price is now almost $70 higher than when I purchased it last week. But to make it not laggy it would need much higher specs which would make it much more expensive. I’m willing to make that trade off to save some money.
