Perfect for HUD
These worked very well. I order another set first and these are so much nicer. They came with dust removers and a squeegee. They have a peel off cover on both sides which is super nice. They’re perfectly reflective. I wish they came in other sizes but it wasn’t a big deal because I just cut it in half. The picture in my review isn’t as good as it really looks.

Did you buy a cheap HUD for your car and can barely see it because for some reason it didnt come with one of these? Or did you mess up that one? Either way these are a perfectly effective replacement. What I like about these vs the one that came with my particular HUD is the edges are rounded off so it looks nicer. Mine was just hard edged squares. So I didn’t even use it because of that. I received the opportunity to test these and am glad I did.The size may be a bit large for my tiny HUD but it should support a bigger one or HUD app on a phone just fine, and the installation kit is nice. You get a kit for each film so that’s also a good thing. Also contrary to my photo, the HUD reflects perfectly clear, not slightly doubled like you see in the pic. For some reason my phone would old capture it looking doubled. Still, it gives you a good idea of what is going to be on your windshield. They’re maybe 30% tint so you’ll have a small dark spot to look through but nothing that should be an obstruction even in darkness.

Inconsistent film color and flatness. Not clear: tinted and highly visible from outside
The HUD on my 2024 RAV4 Prime is very hard to see on bright, sunny days. With these films, the HUD is easy to see. I wish I could buy a large sheet of this reflective windshield film and cut it to exactly the shape and size I want.As shown in my picture, the film is very visible from the outside. Also from the inside, but that was expected.The film is not clear, it is definitely tinted when applied. My wife finds having a tinted rectangle in her line-of-sight to be distracting. It is worth it to me to be able to use the RAV4’s HUD. If I could cut my own shape, I’d make a piece that was flat along the base of the windshield and curved up to the HUD area.Not visible in the picture is that from the inside one film is a brown tint and the other one is grey. The brown one went on with a very smooth reflective surface and the grey one has ripples that won’t smooth out. A nice feature of the kit is that there is a cleaning and smoothing kit included for each piece of film.With the difference in my and my wife’s height, the 4.7″x3.5″ film was not tall and wide enough for both of us to see the HUD. I ordered a larger film that I hope will be big enough because the gap and color difference with two films is distracting.
