This adapter performs well most of the time. It connects within about 10–20 seconds after starting the car and launches CarPlay automatically. Audio quality is clear, and navigation apps run smoothly once connected. That said, compatibility can vary depending on the vehicle. In my case, I had one or two random disconnects early on, which I later resolved by adjusting phone Bluetooth settings. Issues like this are often related to car USB ports or settings rather than the adapter itself. Once everything was dialed in, it worked reliably. Just be prepared for a bit of initial setup tweaking.

Great wireless adapter
This works great in our 2020 SUV to make Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless and it runs seamlessly with easy calling, messaging and music play. We use it with new model phones, one uses CarPlay and one uses Android Auto, all standard apps and nonstandard apps run well with it.It is very easy to use, just connect to the Bluetooth and it links up with no issue. The size is great since these are often in a spot that doesn’t have a lot of room and there’s no cords to deal with. This is small enough that my console cover also closes just fine with it plugged in. It runs quite smoothly with no lag or call issues and boots up fast. I have used it for over a week with absolutely no issues. The initial pairing took less than a couple minutes and phones connected quick. It will automatically connect to whatever phone was last connected if both phones are in car or you can choose.

These wireless Carplay and Android Auto dongle is an absolute must have for cars in the 2018ish range like mine that have a color screen but not built in android auto and Carplay.The connection process is simple even the first time you just need to make sure your Wi-Fi is on and your Bluetooth is on and you look in Bluetooth connections for the dongle and connect. And then every connection after that is automatic.The ones like this that have a flat profile are perfect because some stick out and are too easy to knock with your hand and break. This one is flat and tiny and it’s the best style to get!
