Cumbersome
I REALLY wanted to love this. the umbrella style fold-up and storage, along with the full coverage were keys in my decision to order this style of windscreen shade. it did within a smidge completely cover the window. BUT, it was so bloody cumbersome to deploy. had to open it IN the car and then maneuver it over the dash. I’ll take the hit that the vehicle’s “eyesight” was a bit of a pain to work around, but I managed it. I can’t imagine messing about to engage this on a hot sunny day. the last little tidbit was not all the ribs locked in place…two refused to engage (one on the top and one on the bottom…neither of these were a result of the “eyesight”…on that side, the ribs locked into place.). this will likely work great in any older car that has a plain flat dash and windscreen, but not for my Subaru Forester or Honda Odyssey.
