Inexpensive Upgrade for an Older Car
I got this UISJL 9.03″ HD CarPlayScreen for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to give a modern tech upgrade to my 2016 Crosstrek. I like that it immediately connected via Android Auto. Though I am still learning some details within the applications, what I really like about the device is the nice large display. So much easier to read a Map on this 9″ CarPlay Screen than on my phone. The colors are bright and vivid; the words large, crisp, and easily read. The audio voice is pleasant and clear. The split screen is terrific. I love to listen to Audible books on trips and the convenience of split screen for a Map on one side and the Audible book on the other is wonderful. I did have a bit of a challenge discovering how to adjust the volume without returning to the Home set up screen. While in a full screen Maps I happened to touch the little White Circle on the screen, and voila, a pop up screen to adjust the volume. I like the Message playback feature which is very handy while driving. I love that I can listen to my own loaded playlist. I was unable to use the Backup Camera feature, although my car has a Backup Camera. But perhaps that is unavailable via the Android Auto connection. That is something I will have to investigate more. The magnetic mounting device works well on the windshield, outside of the beaded antenna area. A simple press against the windshield and turn dial to the right to lock it in place, secured it. Then a turn dial to the left and it released from the windshield. I already have a universal mount on the dash, but I really prefer that I can mount this on the windshield and keep my eyes raised while driving. The portability of this device is also a plus. The power cord for the cigarette lighter did not fit my car. However, the CarPlay Screen worked fine with the one I already had in place. The device advertisement states there is no lag time, however, I have noticed delays when moving from one application selection to another. It is either a delay in the connection when selecting a different application or the delay is the touch screen not responding quickly enough. That said, for the great display, for the features that I love, an occasional delay is tolerable, considering the device is less than $70. This modern tech upgrade is a good value for my old car.

A fashion and useful CarPlay
It was delivered too quickly, and I received it the next day. At one point, I thought I had selected the wrong delivery option. Well, it works
I ordered this at nine in the morning. It was at my house by the time I got home from work. No backup camera, the mount is weak and doesn’t support the screen very well. It hooked up well with my phone. No off button so I have to pull the plug. My cigarette lighter plug stays on. Not the quality I expected.

Great Product! Worth a Second Look
This is a neat and handy addition to the car, I won’t lie. The Magnetic Mount in particular functions well, and is easily adjustable and interchangeable. The whole setup is big enough for viewing, without obstructing my view. The only thing that saddens me is my car doesn’t connect with the software, due to being an older model. Nonetheless a good bang for you buck all considered!

Finally a mounting point that works in my car and a product that allows me to use widescreen GPS
I have tried so many mounts in my car and that are supposed to stay affixed to the dash have always failed for me. This is the first mount that has consistently worked which is especially impressive considering the sized and weight of this screen. I had found myself frequently driving our other vehicle as it has built-in GPS on a large screen, but I missed my older car which is a lot of fun to drive. This screen allows me to easily connect via bluetooth and route audio through my car speakers. The initial setup took a bit of trial and error, but once setup I was surprised at how quickly it reconnects when entering the car, and has consistently worked over the last month. I do remove the screen and charger when parking the car for extended periods or in certain neighborhoods to deter break-ins and also keep the chargers from pulling power when not in use. The benefit of the ability to see GPS instructions and map on a large screen cannot be overstated (at least for me personally). I find myself using this car much more frequently than I have in the past.
