Bug free connection and excellent video quality.
I have purchased a few different Carplay devices for my car, and all of them were plagued with connectivity issues and very spotty operation.This unit has worked perfectly since day one. Instantly connects to my phone as soon as I get within range. Speaking of range, I do deliveries and often this unit will remain connected to my phone while I go to the door to drop the package off.The mounting options are also excellent, I was able to get the unit positioned perfectly, with no obstructed view.The video clarity is superb, and the backup camera supplied is far superior to the one provided by GM.The quality of the head unit is excellent, and in sub zero cold, the screen fires right up.The price of this unit is not in line with the high quality- I’d have paid a higher price just knowing how well this unit works.I also wanted to say- I had seen ads for the product on Facebook and it seemed too good to be true, but when I checked for the product on Amazon, I found the exact same unit, by the same merchant, and this made me feel more confident about purchasing, as I had the Amazon protections in place.But they were not needed, this is an excellent product with a huge screen and it was compatible with my phone as well as my vehicle and was so easy to setup this system that I can’t find anything to complain about.While I AM an Amazon Vine reviewer, I paid for this item via my regular amazon account and there was absolutely no incentive provided here.

Poor Bluetooth connectability
Was fine for 38 days. Easy set up, good picture and good Android auto connection. Then… Started dropping Bluetooth connection. Now it drops about every 10 to 15 minutes. Would not recommend this product.

Wanted to love but would not recommend
The good: Initial impressions were that for the price this was a decent piece of equipment. All plastic build so pretty light for it’s size. The unit boots up incredibly fast! From power being applied to reaching the home screen was around 10 seconds. Bluetooth connection for CarPlay/Android Auto was within another 15 secs of that. I was able to get navigation up and going within 20-30 secs of powering on, which is quite impressive! Auto-dimming worked as advertised and the screen was plenty bright in direct sunlight. It paired with both my Android and iPhone phones with no issues. Comes with both stick on dash mount as well as suction cup mount. Both mount seems standard fair, nothing impressive but seems to get the job done.The bad: The screen, although bright, had pretty bad color saturation. Everything looked washed out. On the plus side, it was clear and bright enough to view in sunlight. Touch screen response was acceptable though the frame rate is low enough where you can see the stutter when swiping. Not a deal killer if you stick with CarPlay or Android Auto on all the time. Audio was as expected. Nothing to write home about, it just worked well enough to be considered functional.The ugly: I am returning this unit, unfortunately, even though I really wanted to like it. Here’s why: First off, there was debris behind the screen that was clearly visible. Dust and what looks like plastic bits were behind the glass and on the screen. There was even a finger print on the top right corner of the screen! Clearly QC is quite lacking here. They were visible enough that after a bunch of drives it drove me crazy as I kept thinking the screen was dirty and instinctively tried to wipe the screen to clean it. Now the REALLY ugly… The real reason why I’m returning the uni and would not recommend it is because it keeps rebooting/restarting randomly. It will reboot during start up, during bluetooth connection, while typing in an address to navigate… over and over and over. Sometimes it would take 3-4 reboots for it to become responsive again.
