How do I check if my car and phone are compatible?

How to fix frequent disconnections?

Great Wireless Adapter that works!
I have purchased several of these wireless adapters to connect my i-phone 13 to my 2021 Honda Civic, 2021 Chevy Silverado, 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, and 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. All vehicles connect and stay connected to my phone without issue.The bootup is quick, less than 10 seconds and it’s connected wirelessly to phone that is in my pocket. This feature is especially handy when making short commutes to the grocery store, gym, or other local establishment. It’s easy to receive a text or phone call without distraction while keeping your eyes on the road.Fitting on my Harley was an added bonus as my then newer phone wouldn’t no longer fit into my in-dash storage compartment that includes the USB port. Now I get on the bike and go and toggle the Carplay before leaving the driveway to find the music and/or maps I need to use to navigate my route. In the future, I might add an additional USB port and charging cable to my saddle bag to keep my phone fully charged on longer rides.I tried one other brand that also worked for using the maps, however, if you wanted to keep your screen on the audio feature it would auto change to show the maps. This was annoying as it sometimes took a few tries to find a music station to play and while doing so it would change over to my maps. I returned that adaptor, although smaller, it didn’t work.

Make sure your USB port has enough power to power the CarPlay adapter
This works great as long USB port you were using in your car has sufficient power adapter. In my car, a 2017 Nissan Maxima, the USB port for CarPlay is not powerful enough to drive this adapter. After a much research, I had to buy a double male to single female adapter so I could use the power from both USB ports in my car to power this CarPlay adapter. I plugged the splitter adapter into both USB ports and then plugged the CarPlay adapter into the splitter adapter. Doing this provides sufficient power to run CarPlay through this CarPlay adapter. Once I did that, set up was a breeze and the CarPlay adapter has worked flawlessly. The manufacturer of this item should put that in the instructions if you have any issues with your set up. It took me days of googling and researching to finally find one post that explained that this was the issue with my car. Other than that, the adapter works wonderfully.

Compact and useful
This carplay adapter is much smaller in size than the previous years models and is barely noticeable. It turns my old car with wired connection to wireless carplay and the connection is automatic when i enter the car. The phone needs to use wifi to connect to carplay so cannot use hotspot at during that time.Phone ususally connects withing 10 seconds of starting the car and the connection does not disconnect. The is some problems when using messenges or voip calls though. Works well and is plug and play so no extra software installation is needed. Have been using this for months now and happy with how it has held up.

I LOVE THIS DEVICE!
I have been using the wireless CarPlay device in my car every day for the last 2 weeks and I’ve had absolutely no problems. I love it! Set up was pretty easy and took just a couple minutes. I had previously been using CarPlay in my car when I bought it new in 2019 but it was sometimes slightly inconvenient to have to have my iPhone plugged into the CarPlay USB port in order to use it. Now, anytime I enter my car, as long as the iPhone is in my purse or pocket, the CarPlay features automatically start working and I don’t need to plug or unplug the phone anymore to use it. I am doing ALL the normal CarPlay things I used to do when it was plugged in, such as talk-to-text, voice activating things like music from my Spotify account, driving directions to a location, calling someone in my contacts or a local business, etc. I am so glad that I purchased this because for a small price it has made my use of CarPlay much more convenient and I don’t end up forgetting my phone in my car when I arrive somewhere because I forgot to unplug the phone from the car. It just stays in my pocket or purse the whole drive.Initially I was not sure if the wireless CarPlay device would work for me, because my CarPlay USB port in my car was recently compromised. A little piece fell out of the inside of the port, and I wasn’t being successful with getting a good connection for the CarPlay no matter which USB/Lightening cable I tried. For some reason, the compromised USB port doesn’t mind the wireless CarPlay device being plugged into it, and I have been able to use CarPlay this way. I don’t unplug the wireless device ever, I just leave it there plugged into the UBS port. If I were in a big city, I might unplug it sometimes so that the green dot light on the device wouldn’t blink while I was parked somewhere and possibly draw attention to thieves…but I don’t have that concern because of where I live. The device’s cable is only a couple inches long and the device itself is very small, so it doesn’t take up much space in my console and the cable doesn’t get tangled on things because it’s so short. I am in love! Highly recommend!

I am about to order another for my babygirl car. So the card that is needed for my car was missing since I bought the car used. I looked into replacing it..that price tag was $300plus. I said oh Nall bay I’ll keep plugging it into the usb cord to make the maps show. But it was irritating to have to do that. Bought this plugged it in watched the video and it worked within a few moments of the technology challenged me plugging it in. lol so yeah headed to get another now!
