I expected a quick release with a short press, but you have to continue holding them as it slowly opens.The adjustable foot keeps my phone stable and leaves plenty of room to plug in a charging cable. It has two positions. The shorter one worked well in portrait mode but not in landscape, so I keep it in the longer position all the time.The claw-style clamp attaches easily to the vent slant. Once tightened, it stays put. Best Car Phone Holder I have found
This phone holder seems to be compatible with most any cellular phone as the width expands to fit and the phone height is not a limiting factor. I have tried a lot of different phone holders and this one is definitely the best. It attaches much more securely than other phone holders as it has locking tabs which wrap around the vent blade. It feels sturdy and the locking mechanism is tight and does not loosen with vibration. Rotating your phone between portrait and landscape mode is easy and the phone stays in the position that you left it, even after many miles of vehicle vibration. Another great thing is that your vent slats are not damaged by this phone holder, unlike many others. This is such a great value for the price that I am going to order a few more for our other vehicle and friends that have lower quality phone holders.
