I was very impressed and shocked on how well the magnets held up on my car door. I wasn’t quite sure that they would be strong enough to hold. You can put the magnets on the inside of the windows metal frame. Or you can put it on the outside.Knowing little kids and my own children, I would put it on the metal part of the car body above the door so that when you shut the door there’s an extra layer of protection for keeping them up. For older kids it’s very easy to reach up and grab and pull them down if not. Even though the magnets are super super strong, that is a possibility.I am not sure why there is ties to tied up to look like a curtain. There is a netted layer that I suppose could just keep it a little lighter in the car maybe. Maybe it’s there to prevent people from getting a good view in the car. But I’m not sure what the netting is for and why the ties are there to tie other material back.In regards to the quality of the product, it’s well made. It’s sewn well, there is no problems with snags in the fabric or loose pieces of thread.The fabric is very thin and I was surprised that it did keep the light out of the car. It doesn’t completely black it out, but it completely gets rid of that sun in your eyes if you’re sitting in the backseat obviously. I’m really mad. I didn’t get a picture of it in the car. I didn’t think about it until I got back in but I have a picture of the product inside.It was a little long for my car window but that’s not a problem because you can just fold it over or kind of squish it together.It’s a great idea and it’s a good product. I highly recommend it.This is a 5 out of 5 product for me. I would definitely purchase it again.

Easy to Use and Stay in Place
I picked up these magnetic window shades for my cars, and overall they’ve worked really well. The magnets are strong enough to hold the fabric in place even when opening and closing the doors, and the coverage is much better than the usual suction‑cup shades. They’re easy to snap on and remove, and the full‑ and half‑shade options give some flexibility depending on how much light I want coming in.The fabric blocks a good amount of heat and UV, but it isn’t entirely opaque. You can still see some light through it, which isn’t a dealbreaker but worth noting if you’re expecting full blackout coverage. The ties also feel like a missed opportunity as magnets would have made the setup cleaner and faster, especially since the rest of the design relies on them.Even with those small drawbacks, the shades still do a solid job. The fit is good in my Sentra but not so good on my Tesla as it has larger windows, the magnets are strong, and the cabin stays noticeably cooler on sunny days. For everyday use, they’ve been reliable and easy to work with.Overall, these are good magnetic shades with good coverage and easy installation.
