Greatest rack system i had
I used to have oem toyota and honda bars. This is really a pro level product. I did a lot of research, yakima vs this vs oem. No regrets. I have a 2021 honda odyssey and it was a bit tricky to get all the parts that fit. The bars should be 60 inch (for this car). They stick out a bit but that is great, gives so much more room on the roof. Looks stylish anyway. Choose the color that contrasts with the color of your car, you want the bars to be easily seen, for safety. My car is white, the bars black. The only feet that work are thule Rapid Crossroad. Dont worry about the straps, they are strong and have steel inside the rubber. They may be hard to find nowadays, got them at REI. No whistle at any speed with windows closed. With windows open i can hear some whistling at low speeds, doesn’t bother me. Follow the correct orientation- like the airplane wing. Do get the locks on the feet- the caps don’t hold very tight without them. My old thule gear (surfboard and kayak holders) needed longer bolts (1 cm longer each) but otherwise fit this bar. Get stainless carriage bolts m6 thread, they are better than thule black ones which rust. I got some from amzn / uxcell, some from ebay.The rubber tracks on the bars are great- so much easier to hold stuff and not have it slide, like the kayaks, when loading them and otherwise.

I have a 2017 Kia Niro. I wanted to mount these bars so that I could carry the Thule Motion XT (Size Large) Cargo Box on my vehicle. To get these bars installed, I purchased the following:- Thule Fit Kit 186076 (for flush railings)- Thule Foot Pack 710601 (for Evo roof rack system to be mounted on flush railings)- Thule 47″ WingBar Evo Load Bars 711220 (this page product)I also bought the Thule one-key system so that I could use one key for all the Thule items I bought (4x locks for the roof rack system and 2x locks for the cargo box). The installation directions take some time to figure out, but overall they aren’t too bad. It took more time for me to research what roof rack system I needed for my vehicle, than it did for me to actually install it all.I love this roof rack system! It’s well built, aerodynamic, doesn’t affect the gas mileage, and it doesn’t make any noise. I also really like that I have the option to take this roof rack system off my vehicle if I wanted to. Thule makes great products, but you definitely pay for it. The high price tag is the only downside, but when it comes to a roof rack system, I’d rather go for quality and be safe rather than be sorry.

Rubber strip has blown off TWICE
Update. After reading that the top strip has a tendency to fly off, I ensured mine were installed properly and securely. In Texas the speed limit is 80mph. My strip blew halfway off, but I heard it flapping and stopped.I resecured the strip and each day ensured it was seated properly. Today at 65 mph it blew off. I cannot find a replacement. At $40 for the strip, VERY POOR DESIGN!!Thule make a great product. Bars are silent on a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness.Cons: assembly is HORRIBLE. Thule need to preassemble the top strips. Include a paper manual. 4 stars for being too much like the devil Satan Ikea.

The wingbar is great.
It’s MUCH quieter than my previous roof rack systems. Goes together easier. Seems sturdy enough. It’s rather fussy (lots of parts and sliders and little bits of rubber/plastic to insert/install to make it smoother (and quieter).Having said that, Amazon got it to me in deplorable condition. Box beat up, missing the end caps. I was supposed to be “like new”. Thule USA, however, answered my query about what parts were SUPPOSED to be in the box by sending me the missing end caps. Very kind. Excellent service. Thule has always made great (if pricey) gear. I will stick with them.

Great bars
Picked these up to add to my 2017 F150 with a Leer cap that has the Thule Tracker II system on it. Wanted to add the 2 extra bars on the cab for hauling a 16’ canoe. Bars are as expected from Thule. Solidly built and great design. My only complaint, and I’ve seen this before on other reviews, Thule needs to reinforce or pad the ends of the bars for shipment. It’s aluminum so it doesn’t take a lot to dent the ends. Both of my bars were dented from being tossed around during transit. Not a huge deal and honestly hardly noticeable until you try to install the end caps. It took a pair of needle nose pliers and about a half an hour to straighten the enough to accept the ends. Ended up with chipped paint and a little out of shape. Not a huge deal to me but others may not like that, especially for the price. Rack Attack was the supplier for my bars and they were great to work with. I accidentally fat fingered the wrong size and when I reached out to them they were able to adjust the order and it still showed up in just a couple of days. Great bars overall, just wish they’d sort out a little better way to package them for transit.
