We bought this to use everywhere. We wanted it just slightly less thick for easier use in the car (for easier entrance and exit). It is a reasonably dense gel so it has the right amount of softness and support. The cover has a traction type material on one side so it limits it sliding. Seems like it will be durable for the long run.

An office chair pad that works. Not bad.
First office chair pad that actually workes. With the tektrum elastic pad I no longer have tailbone or numbness in lower legs. With prior chair pads, it was either one or the other. I am pleased. The only drawback, and maybe it’s more to do with my office chair than the pad, is that contrary to the ad it sits a bit warmer than other chair pads I’ve tried. However, it succeeded in removing the tailbone and numbness in the legs issues, which is far more important. I’ll take the trade-off. All other chair pads I’ve tried failed in the more important aspects. Foam ones end up being too hard, or they flatten. Latex ones are expensive and still didn’t help. Memory foam chair pads are miserable. This elastic pad is well worth the money in comparison. And it comes in a nice carry-cover over the actual blue pad shown.

it is thick and a little heavy as i expected. the gel is very nice. i plan to use it as an insert in a bar stool in place of cushion. these are a little pricey, but if you are planning on using it a lot then it is worth it.

Too heavy/ not enough padding.
Cushions were bought with the intention of taking them on a long dish and plane trip. Tried them beforehand and found them to be very heavy and lacking in cushioning.

Nice at first
Upon first use it felt very comfortable to sit on. Over time though (week or two), it became rather firm. Not as soft feeling as it once was. Now it is difficult to sit on it for more than a couple of hours to do my computer work. I’m finding it necessary to use another cushion under it. It’s a nice size that fully covers the seat part of a desk chair. I like the fact that it is even clear across the cushion without any raised areas on the sides like some I’ve seen. Do make sure you turn it once in a while (like turn clock wise; don’t flip over to other side) so you’re not sitting on the same spot all the time.
