Great alternative Garmin Zumo and phone for map and carplay
I really like to see the map, routing directions, and listen to audiobooks or podcasts while I ride my motorcycle…..both street and dirtbike.I have purchased a number of Quadlock mounts with the vibration isolation base to mount my iphone for that purpose, but have heard enough of people still having issues with the optically stabilized lenses failing on their phones that I did not want to risk my relatively new and really expensive iphone 15 Pro Max.Plus I have noted that the thermal management program on the iphone tends to dim the screen fairly quickly when it is exposed to direct sunlight while riding.I also have a Garmin Zumo and Zumo XT. Although these are really rugged, the screen is small, the software used to plan routes is laughable, it is very difficult to modify create routes on the fly, and it does not provide Apple carplay functionality at all. And they are very expensive.Therefore, I thought I would start looking at some of the knockoff brand alternatives for just being a carplay display unit. And I am glad I did.This Wonsidary unit is pretty awesome, especially for the price. Although there is no battery, it is basically a display device for your carplay iphone. And it pretty much works flawlessly just like the carplay unit in my car. And the 7 in display is larger than some of the other units available on Amazon….and it is just right for me. Don’t think I would want or need anything larger and would not want anything smaller.It starts almost instantly when I power up the bike. The screen is large and very sharp and colorful. It responds well to touch sensitive gloves, and is very legible in bright sunlight and never seems to dim.I really won’t comment on the functionality but it basically does everything that Carplay does include the split three screen view. I pair my phone with my Cardo Packtalk devices and it works flawlessly every time. And I have only paired the Wonsidary unit once with my phone and it flawlessly reconnects every time it powers up without me having to fiddle with anything such as repairing.I plug it into the USB adapters on my Yamaha Tracer 900 and my Beta 500 RR-S dirtbike when I am doing longer less difficult scenic rides. Using a Ram adapter tightened snugly it is very secure and never loosened yet on either my streetbike or dirtbike. The provided attach hardware is OK but requires tools to tighten and loosen which I why I use a spare Ram adapter I already have. I want to remove the unit whenever I leave the bike as I don’t want to tempt thief’s. I have never lost power to the device while riding yet.For the price I do not know how you could go wrong. Highly recommended.

I don’t know where to begin. If you are in the market for an item like this-look no further. This thing is awesome!Build quality is top-notch. Durable AND waterproof, it can withstand whatever nature throws at you while riding. The screen is very easy to see, even in bright sunlight. You can adjust the sound quality coming into your helmet with the equalizer feature it has as well-this item has all the features you could possibly want-at a very fair price as well!Setup is a breeze….15-30 minutes is all it takes. And if you have a USB port on your motorcycle-5-10 minutes and you’re ready to go. The touchscreen works flawlessly, and the screen size makes it very easy to see and find what you’re looking for. A must for touring riders!

The system is just a little cumbersome to use but it works every time and I’m sure with time it’ll get easier. Screen size is good, touch sensitivity is perfect, it’s been out in the rain plenty of times so I’m sure it is durable, and it feels like a solid device. The Bluetooth connectivity is good just a bit convoluted. I wish that I could just set how I want it to connect and it connected that way every time. The instructions were easy to follow.

I’ve been using the 2025 Wonsidary W722 on my motorcycle and it has worked flawlessly. What really sets this company apart, though, is their customer service—they truly stand behind their product, and it’s better than what I’ve experienced with many other brands.I installed the unit on my Harley Low Rider ST mainly for easy navigation and seamless integration with my helmet’s communication system. During setup, I made a mistake while trying to calibrate the touchscreen and ended up causing the system to stop working. I reached out through Amazon, which put me in contact with the seller. They emailed me directly and quickly walked me through the steps to fix the issue. When that didn’t fully resolve it, they sent me a link to download an updated program—and that completely fixed the problem.Now everything works exactly as it should. Once my helmet comms are on, Apple CarPlay connects automatically through my phone with no extra steps. Essentially, this screen gives you all your phone’s CarPlay functionality on a much larger, more convenient display right at your fingertips. The plus side is it comes with both a wiring harness to hardwire it to your bikes system for those that know what they are doing or have mechanical/electrical background or even your average DIY’erBut it also comes with a USB power chord that makes integration into your bike simplified for easy removable if you need to no hardwire necessary unless you don’t have USBWould I buy it again if I needed another unit? Absolutely.Is it worth the money? Without a doubt.

Preis-Leistung ist top. Die Halterung hält an meiner Ducati Desert Sled bombe. Kein Wackeln oder Vibrieren, nix!Das Gerät verbindet sich unheimlich schnell mit meinem iPhone 13 und alle CarPlay-Funktionen lassen sich flüssig bedienen. Auch die Verbindung zum Intercom ist stabil.Auch die Lesbarkeit des Displays hatte ich nicht so gut erwartet.Leider funktioniert die Touchpadbedienung mit meinen Motorrad-Winterhandschuhen nicht. Aber das habe ich für den Preis auch nicht wirklich erwartet. Ich würde es trotzdem jederzeit wieder kaufen.
