Horrible handle installation
Bigger pads would have giving the product 5-Stars… and the handle is hard to install.

A strong, sturdy spinning polisher with brushless motor and two nice Makita-style batteries
This is a very nice cordless variable-speed spinning buffer/ polisher/ grinder. Although it looks like (and the box calls it) an angle grinder and it has a nice top handle, it comes configured as (and its instruction manual calls it) a Cordless Buffer Polisher. There are two ways to set its rotation speed:1. Via a continuously variable red speed dial with markings from 1-6. There is no discernibly different speed change between dial positions 1-2, but the speed gradually increases as you roll the dial up to level 6 (fastest). I prefer using this method to set rotation speed.2. It also has 4-setting Mode button (with 4-segment green LED bar) to step between four preset speeds. After pressing the Mode button, the speed dial setting is over-ruled and ignored until the polisher is switched off and all green Mode indicator LEDs go out.The instruction manual recommends using speed settings 1-2 (800-1000 rpm) for waxing and buffing and levels 2-3 (1000 to 3000 RPM) for polishing and cleaning using the assorted of 5-inch hook and loop pads and your preferred polishing compound.[Note: A spinning polisher can leave swirl marks if the rotation speed is too high or the applied pressure is too heavy. A random orbital polisher is less likely to leave swirl marks.]The manual also recommends using the higher speed levels 4-6 (4600-7200 rpm) for DIY cutting and grinding. It comes with ten P100 grit sanding pads (but no cutting discs or spark guard needed for it to function as an angle grinder). The ON switch slides forward and locks, and while it is operating you can adjust the speed knob or press the Mode button to change speed. The polisher comes with two 21V Makita-style batteries, each of which has ten lithium-ion cells (marked 3.7V 1500mAh and configured in 2 parallel banks).[This calculates to 5×3.7 = 18.5V and 2x1500mAh = 3Ah, but the fully charged battery measures 20.56V, and it probably provides more than 3.51Ah of current, and these numbers round up to the advertised 21V @ 4Ah. Nevertheless, these are nice batteries.]The batteries also have a 4-segment LED charge indicator. They get charged by the (included) slide-on battery charger (which provides 21.6V but has no specs or certifications). The batteries also accept the round DC plug from compatible 21V wall chargers (not included). There is no mention of a warranty (after-market warranties are available). Its brushless DC motor is strong and seems durable. If you desire a well-made rotary polisher, this is a very good choice.

Don’t waste your money!!!
Not happy at all with this unit. I used this polisher for the first time yesterday. I had to replace the battery 10 minutes after I started using it I had to replace the battery the other battery that came in the box. It died 15 minutes later. Batteries did not wanted to charge after waiting for at least 2 hours. I was not even able to start a detailing the car I was supposed to work on. I lost $600.00 on a job yesterday. DON’T Buy it!! There is no battery life on this polisher.

Versatile Tool for Buffing and Light Grinding
I picked up this tool knowing I wanted something I could use for polishing and buffing for my home improvement projects, and what arrived was definitely more of an angle grinder with buffer pads than a typical standalone buffer. The main unit feels solid enough, with enough weight that it doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap. Once the buffer pad is attached, it was clear that this isn’t just a dinky gadget. It operates like a real angle grinder that’s been set up for polishing work, which was good enough for what I needed.Getting started was pretty simple. I snapped on the buffer pads that came in the kit and got to work on a couple of metal and painted surfaces. The spinning action and power reminded me of using a grinder, only gentler with the right pad, and the results were noticeable once I found the right speed and pressure. It’s nice to have that flexibility in one tool because it means I’m not dragging out multiple devices for a quick polish or detail pass. I also appreciate that it came with a variety of pads as well as 2 batteries, that way I never have to wait for the battery to recharge. Just swap them out and good to go.Overall, I’ve been happy with how it handled basic polishing and buffing tasks. It’s clear this is essentially an angle grinder adapted for polishing, which means it can be a little more aggressive if pushed, but it gives a lot of capability for home projects. I’d say it’s useful for someone who wants a more substantial tool for polishing and buffing without needing professional gear.
