Not exactly what I was looking for.
I got this cushion for my son, a fourth grade teacher who has developed back discomfort that he attributes at least partially to his desk chair. This is my restatement of his comments:My wooden school-provided teacher’s desk chair was killing my back by the end of the day, even though I am up and around at least half the time. This looked like a possible solution. It may work out, but my initial impression is not all that favorable. First, the chemical odor it emanates is STRONG! This should lessen over time, but for now, it’s a big negative for me AND my students. I am also not entirely pleased with how thick it is. It raises me up more than I expected or need, and also makes me sit forward in the seat so far that it feels like I am almost slipping out of it. This, too, may “go away” over time as I get used to it, but again, it’s a negative for now at least.The foam material itself seems to be of good quality — likely to last a long time. And overall, it looks okay, though a bit more “doctor prescribed” than I would prefer. It looks corrective, not comfortable, and is certainly not decorative.I’m sure these Amxixaun Lumbar Support Cushions could be exactly what some people need — well made and probably well designed to meet specific needs. But, not exactly what I was looking for.
