Great, lasting, phone mount
I have a weirdly set up car that I needed a long neck phone mount for it to reach where I could actually see my phone. Additionally, I have a very wide phone that many phone mounts don’t fit. This one works perfectly. I will say the secondary part to hold it in place didn’t stay, however I’ve had this phone mount for 10 months now and it’s still going strong. It can sometimes bounce a little around but it isn’t drastic and that’s largely because it’s a long neck and cars are not always perfectly smooth- speed bumps, pot holes, construction, etc. Overall this is great though and not once has it lost suction.

I have owned several cell phone holders over the years, and so far this is the best. Most have just a short arm from the suction cup that holds it to the windshield. The truck I own the dash is far from the windshield, so they wont work, air vent mounts have never ever worked for me (yes I am picky). When I seen this style I was intrigued. This is what I was looking for. So, I looked at the reviews just as you are. I have never ever found a product with a prefect 5 star rating, and this is no exception. So, I take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt, thinking some are just too picky or are Charlie Brown. Yes, some of the negative reviews are true. The ones that stated the adhesive on the support piece is no good, it is true. I took them with a grain of salt, thinking most people don’t clean the dash, or where ever they mount it, before they stick it. I cleaned my spot on dash with paint thinner (I didn’t have any rubbing alcohol left) and stuck it to it. The thing is here is I would have thought, like most manufactures, they would have enclosed a prep alcohol pad with the product. They do not. But, either way, it failed. Not the way you would have thought. The adhesive pad on the support is still stuck to my dash. The problem is the pad failed between it and the support. So, that is on them. Maybe they didn’t clean it. So, I put some silicone on the pad, and pressed the support back onto the pad and let it dry. Its been working great since. It does have some shake as you drive with normal vibration of the road and vehicle. I have never owned a holder that didn’t but I expect that as most should. The negative reviews that did concern me was that it dropped the phone. If you put the phone in the right way there is no problem at all. If press the holding arms together at the base (not closest to you at the phone) It stays put. I even went down rough roads and over pot holes, and it never came out. Now, if I pressed the arms together on the outside by the phone, oh hell yes a sneeze could knock it out. So in closing, you wont waste your money on this. The only reason behind the four star instead of a five star is that adhesive on the support mount. I fixed it, but not all of us have access or the knowledge I do that in this range.
