Great starting point, but needs work.
This armrest has really helped me relieve shoulder and neck pain while driving, but I needed to customize it to get exactly what I needed.The biggest problem with the armrest is that when you pull up on it, say, to adjust it when you get in, it has a tendency to separate because there’s nothing stopping the armrest part coming out of the brace. I fixed that by strapping it to the base with the dollar store alternative to “wrap it” Velcro strap products. I tightened the straps as much as I could and then added a cross strap so it wouldnt slide off the sides.I wanted the armrest to be a little taller and also didn’t like how the stitching irritated my elbow, so I got an armrest pad and secured it to the top. This does double duty because it pads the top and also adds another point to help contain the Velcro straps from sliding off. It works perfectly now, and I don’t think I could have done this better another way or with a different available product. Not perfect, but with a little ingenuity it’s absolutely worth it.
