Cozy but lightweight, compacts well when not in use
I ordered this after trying out a memory foam travel pillow and am much happier with this Cabeau inflatable pillow. The memory foam pillows are way too big, heavy and bulky, not practical for air travel. This inflatable has a cozy washable cover, inflates and deflates easily, fits easily back into the travel pouch, is light-weight and won’t take much room in my carry-on bag.

Really comfortable for reading or sleeping
This was recommended by the New York Times Wirecutters section as the best inflatable pillow, so I bought one. I used it yesterday on a four hour flight, and I’ve used it at home in a recliner. It is MUCH better than I expected. It’s very comfortable, easy to inflate, easy to deflate, and well made. It provides good support from the side and front as well as the back. Note that it doesn’t need to be inflated all the way, and indeed it shouldn’t be. It’s easy to let some air out while using it until it is just right. Often in a recliner, an extra inch of padding is all that is needed. On a plane, this lets you rest your head and nap with you head forewards, backwards, and to the side.

Not Like the Old-Style Inflatable Pillows
I have been searching for a travel pillow that works, is comfortable, and doesn’t take up much space. I’ve looked at and tried various kinds, particularly the memory foam ones which are just too darn big to lug around. As a last resort, I thought I’d try this inflatable. It has a very soft cover and does inflate and deflate quickly. It also has no detectable plastic odor. Because it has the extra ridge to brace your neck, it’s very much like the memory foam pillows in that style. I also wanted a pillow with a cover that is machine washable. But this is the mystery: though the description and the enclosed directions say the cover can be removed and put in the washer, there is no way to get the cover off as the valve comes through the fabric and is attached to the cover. So I zipped up the cover and gently hand washed the thing. Hopefully it will all air dry thoroughly.

Not great w/over ear headphones and short folks
Good: Fabric feels nice, easy to inflate, I like that it has a bag, and I like that you can deflate it to be as firm as you wantBad: I’m 5’3″ and I couldn’t wear this comfortably with my over the ear headphones. Also the chin strap really did nothing for me.

One of the best travel neck pillows I’ve used!
Really nice travel neck pillow. I love it’s small size when rolled up and store in the provided storage bag. I also like how you can control the firmness of the pillow by how much air you put inside it. The elastic strap with velcro works great to keep it secure, and the outer layer/cover is comfy and soft. Can confirm that it does work great with my Sony MX5 noise-cancelling headphones. Would be a bummer if it developed a leak during a trip, but, it seems well built and it folds up sooooooo small when not in use for ease of transport. Highly recommended!

    Comfortable and easy to carry
Well designed with removable cover for washing, comfortable and adjustable design. Most importantly light and easy to carry and inflate. No more bulky pillows flapping off the side of my carryon. Good value!

    Great value!
Love this pillow! I waited until after my international trip to review it to give an accurate impression. This is easy to blow up and deflate, it fits in a water bottle pocket very nicely (as advertised), and once I found the best inflation level, provided a comfortable snooze, even in coach class. On two long-haul flights (10+ hours each) there was no visible wear and tear. The one downside I will mention is that I bought a second one for my son who was traveling with me. He is a sensory kid. The feel of the pillow was great for him, but the sides came up too high around his face to be comfortable so if you or a family member has sensory issues, definitely try this extensively before getting on a plane or stick with the more traditional pillows that have a lower profile around the face. I enjoyed it because I felt snuggled in a cocoon, but that isn’t for everyone. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a cost effective travel pillow.

    Wonderful travel pillow!
I bought two of these for an international flight and they were SOOO much better than old style inflatable pillows. The valves are amazing – they inflate with two breaths (!), and deflate as easily. They fit well into their small stuff bag, which has nice drawstrings that tie onto bags for security. They surface is velvety and comfortable. The strap provides adjustability, and you can wear them in different ways to rest at different angles. I don’t like carrying bulky pillows, and the much-touted Trtl was bulkier and less comfortable, so very happy to have found these. An excellent purchase!

It’s a great concept, but it pushes your head forward. I really couldn’t use it, it was so uncomfortable.

I have used a Cabeau Evolution Classic foam neck pillow for many years and love it but wanted something a little more supportive and smaller. The Cabeau Air TNE fits the bill. It is more supportive but still with a nice soft cover and it is much much cooler on your face and neck. It rolls up and fits into a very small good quality bag with drawstrings. The neck support strap takes a little getting used to and you do want to feed it through the buckle to keep it closer to your neck. The key point is to only inflate the pillow “half” way so that the back of your neck is basically flat against the seat. Then pull the strap tight and fasten the velcro as far to the back of the pillow as possible. Great support to prevent sideways tilting of your head and did I mention cool!
