First ever radio install
This is the first radio I have ever installed by myself.Doing this wasn’t entirely intuitive. I searched youtube for my make and model and found someone installing this exact radio in my exact truck.Getting the old radio out was simpler than I originally expected. Getting the new radio in was where I ran into issues and compromises.Issue one: The bezel I bought did not seem to fit this unit right. So, I skipped the bezel, and it still looks fine.Issue two: The usb port adapter I bought to replace the cigarette lighter gave me issues, but that has nothing to do with the radio really. It eventually went in fine and works great though.Issue 3: The microphone. I had no idea I had to run a microphone from the radio to anywhere else. I ended up placing it in the space where the bezel would have been. It works fine, so what do I care? I’m told that people usually run that through to the ceiling above the driver. I did not do this because I am lazy and unimaginative. Now…The radio itself. I freaking love this radio. I was replacing a 2004 standard radio (pretty much just a CD and radio player) with this. It’s like advanced alien technology comparatively. To setup my android phone, I just plugged it into the USB and it was good to go.Google maps popped right up with my recent destinations, and my Amazon music loaded up in the corner and started playing. My Alexa Auto works great with it. I had access to my messages and Pulse and Hiya dialer. All my contacts were loaded. I could connect to my teams meetings. Check my calendar. I added my Plex to it, and also Spotify.According to manual, I can load mp3, flac and wma files via USB. I can also do mkv, AVI and wmv. I might need to put some travel movies and shows on USB for the long roadtrips. I haven’t tested this yet.Obviously google maps and Amazon music were the big draws for me, but Waze Maps and a bunch of streaming apps also work on this. Even a police scanner app. This is a game changing upgrade from my stock antique radio from the last century, and now I can throw out my bluetooth FM Transmitter.Recommend bigly.

This is a great head unit!
Love this item! I followed the instructions and used solder-melt shrink connectors and the correct aftermarket wiring harness. The installation went flawlessly and it is working extremely well. I had one issue I reached out the the manufacturer on because I couldn’t resolve it on my own. They responded well and their guidance cleared up the problem. I am very happy with my purchase.

It’s a solid stereo for the price
For the price and what it offers I’ll give it a 5 stars because it has apple car play and other features that other expensive stereos have. The touch screen is okay but you have to poke at it sometimes and sometimes it won’t respond at the first touch. And the microphone it hace is kind of flimsy but for the price it’s worth it.

Perfect
Great radio, perfect for my car. Installed in a 2012 Chevy Malibu. (Does require the wiring harness with an aftermarket chime adapter/box). The touch scream is wonderful. Clean clear display screen. The back up camera option works perfect. You will need a phone charging cord to plus into the back of the radio to use the Apple or android play. It does take a second to initially start up & there’s a terms & conditions message that you have to agree to every time you start your car. Cow the price I 110% recommend.

Cheap and freezes
I have a 2004 surburban. It had a planet audio touchscreen system when I bought. It lasted about 1 year before it stopped working.Purchased a new planet audio since I liked some of the features but I was concerned due to the poor performance of the previous one.I had the new one installed by a local stereo company about 2 months after I bought it.So it’s been in my truck for about 10 months. It sucks. The entire radio and all its functions freeze constantly. The touchscreen works but you have to move your finger around to find the right spot that is not always on the icon.It shuts off and sometimes it won’t start up.What a waste of money and time.Planet audio is not the quality it thinks it is.

Good and easy to use
It was easy to install in 2007 Toyota Sienna with a harness (bought separately). Straight forward wiring – wires were labelled clearly. Has 2 USB (one for apple car play), AV, Back up camera, Radio antenna and an external microphone ports with the package. Screen is responsive – could be better but cannot complain. Apple car play And the in-built apps work pretty well. Happy with the purchase

Installed on a 2007 Honda CRV works and sounds good for a low cost radio with no amplifier. Also had to purchase a double din Metra radio mount(99-7873),had to remove the black plastic radio frame so it would fit in the mount. A Crux interface module(SWRHN-62B) for the steering wheel controls(Dip switch set to 1off/2off/3on/4on/5off/6on/7on/8off)-. Just follow installation instructions provided and plug and play. So far it’s working great! Did not add a back up camera.

I purchased this in July 2021 and had it installed the end of Aug 2021, at the end of July 2022 it stopped working.. all the wires were tested and they are fine, I was sure this came with a 3yr warranty however can’t seem to get a hold of the seller to find out what’s going on……
