Love it. It turns your boring oem interface into a full on android tablet. You can download any app you want! Was thinking of replacing my original head unit because the Toyota maps was outdated. With this it has Google Maps and works just like a phone. I put in a SIM card from ATT and data works on it too!!

(1/13/26 – UPDATE: After more testing I figured out that if you download the manual/instruction guide first, you won’t have to worry about navigating through the setup. Also I manually set up the system to open up CarPlay first and I also increased the font size for better visibility. – So I’ve updated my review to a 5 star rating)I really like this AI Box. I’ve had the chance to play with it for a few weeks and the reason why I wanted this was so I can watch Netflix and YouTube on my car’s screen instead of on my phone. Plus it’s great for the kids. I no longer have to give my child my phone while we wait for mommy to finish up in the store or if I’m waiting in the car I can simply play a movie or watch YouTube on my car’s screen. It’s not the easiest to set up. If you are coming from an android tablet or phone, you will probably pick this up easily but if you’re like me, coming from an apple device it took me a little while to navigate through the menu. There is a very small lag when you are playing music but when im playing a movie or any video, there is no lag at all. This little device comes with a BUNCH of options and features. The only reason why I don’t give this a 5 star rating is because the setup process could be a little more user friendly for the not so tech savvy people. I am very into tech so it’s not a problem for me but for the average user, it will be a little more complicated. It’s important that you go to their website for a full guide on how to set this unit up, or you can just scan the QR code, which is what I did. You have to remember that this is not just apple carplay or android auto. Yes this supports both, but this is more like having an android tablet built into your car’s screen. The CarPlay/Android Auto is a secondary feature. The big win here is that this gives you the ability to watch videos/movies on your car’s screen (not recommended while driving). In order to do this you will have to use your phone’s hotspot feature or you can insert a SIM card if you are able to add one from your mobile carrier. Overall this is a great product. It still needs some work making it a little more user friendly but I am glad to see what ATOTO did here with this device and I look forward to what future iterations of this technology will look like.

Good Idea… Not So Good In Practice
Generally does what it says, but if you have an iPhone, beware that most functions of this device do not properly work without buying a separate sim/data plan for this device specifically. Trying to run anything like YouTube using a shared data from the phone is a nightmare and requires too many steps for it to be worth it, along with the horrible degradation in audio quality when using it wirelessly. I’m sure there are people who will find this useful, but for me, nothing worked as expected without requiring the device itself to have an internet connection, not just using my phone’s already existing one. Easy to install, a bit confusing to set-up since the instructions are a bit vague on connecting. Cool concept, mediocre execution.

Works well provided it’s compatible with the vehicle
This is a full Android 13 OS device, similar to an Android phone and can handle audio and video streaming.It was easy to use, although I encountered some setup issues (lagging audio with video streaming apps). The customer service was incredibly responsive and helpful. However, certain apps would crash or freeze at some point, which is why I gave it 4 stars. A factory reset would resolve the issue. It might be a compatibility issue with the vehicle’s infotainment system, but it worked great when it was functional.

Game Changer for Road Trips and Downtime
I travel a lot and wanted a better way to follow sports, watch movies, or relax with shows while parked. The ATOTO CB6 has been a great solution. It runs full Android 13 with Android Auto built in, so I can download and use apps natively — YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, or anything from the Google Play Store — without relying solely on mirroring.Connectivity options are excellent. I’ve used it on Wi-Fi (Starlink or my phone hotspot) and with both SIM and eSIM for 4G, and it works smoothly. The interface is intuitive and responsive, videos can be resized, and you can multitask with multiple apps open.The unit is compact and fits right into the USB port where my old AAWireless was (which I don’t need anymore). It includes 64 GB of storage and a TF card slot for expansion.It also comes with useful apps like DriveChat AI (for travel help) and TrackHU (GPS tracking & geofencing). Built-in GPS works well, and it can use the vehicle’s existing GPS if available. Overall, it’s added a lot of entertainment value during my breaks and downtime. Highly recommend for long road trips.

L’installazione è stata realmente plug & play: collegamento alla porta USB dati del veicolo, attivazione Bluetooth e Wi-Fi sullo smartphone, e in meno di un minuto il sistema era operativo.Utilizzo sia Apple CarPlay con iPhone sia Android Auto con smartphone Android, e in entrambi i casi la connessione automatica funziona correttamente dopo la prima configurazione. Una volta acceso il veicolo, il sistema si collega in pochi secondi senza necessità di interventi manuali.Dal punto di vista della latenza, le prestazioni sono molto buone: la risposta al tocco sul display dell’auto è fluida e non si percepiscono ritardi significativi nella navigazione tra menu, mappe o riproduzione musicale. Ho testato chiamate vocali, streaming musicale e navigazione GPS simultaneamente senza interruzioni.Un aspetto importante è la stabilità della connessione durante la guida. Anche su percorsi lunghi (oltre 2 ore), non ho riscontrato disconnessioni improvvise. L’audio rimane sincronizzato e la qualità delle chiamate è invariata rispetto al collegamento via cavo.

Increíble adaptador inalámbrico CarPlay! La instalación fue súper sencilla, solo tuve que enchufarlo al puerto USB del coche y listo. En cuestión de segundos se conectó automáticamente a mi iPhone vía Bluetooth y Wi-Fi. Ahora puedo usar Google Maps, Spotify y responder mensajes sin tocar el teléfono, todo desde la pantalla de mi coche. La calidad de imagen y sonido es excelente, sin retrasos ni cortes.
