A Game Changer for Drying!
I recently purchased the Meguiar’s Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel, and I’m absolutely blown away by its performance. This towel is in a league of its own when it comes to absorbing water. Compared to other premium microfiber cloths, it’s like night and day. The amount of water this towel soaks up is truly impressive. One area where it truly shines is the hood and back windshield of my Camry. These areas tend to hold a lot of water after a wash, and the Meguiar’s Water Magnet made quick work of drying them. It effortlessly glides over the surface and leaves it bone dry in a single pass. No more multiple rounds of wiping! The quality of the microfiber is top-notch, and it feels incredibly soft against the paint. I appreciate that it doesn’t leave any streaks or water spots behind. The generous size of the towel means I can cover a large area in one go, reducing the overall drying time.If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping their car spotless, the Meguiar’s Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel is an absolute must-have. It’s efficient, effective, and a game changer for anyone looking to achieve a showroom-worthy finish. Highly recommended!

Better Than I Thought
Updated 5/13/19 – I forgot about writing this review almost five years ago now and I am still using this cloth. I decided to purchase another one and then remembered this review. Some of the things I noted are correct, but I have since come to appreciate the value in using this cloth to get off the bulk of the water, which is how I use it. I don’t think it is meant to “dry” off your vehicle completely after washing. If that is what you expect then you will be disappointed. But if you want a cloth that can suck up a lot of water, wring out easily and dry out quickly when done, this works very well.I use it to get the water off of the horizontal surfaces e.g. hood, top, truck lid, etc., and the top part of the door panels. I don’t go much lower than that as I don’t want to pick up and grit that might not have been rinsed all the way off. After getting the bulk of the water off I switch to my cotton towels to do the final drying. Doing it in that order works out very well and ends up saving a lot of time. When I am done I hang it on a nail in the garage and let it air dry, as I do with my other car towels, so it’s ready to go the next time. I wash it occasionally and when I do I do not add softener as it tends to impact the ability to soak up water for a while and can leave streaks too – just a side note.Obviously it’s made well as I have been using the same one since 2014. Its’ getting a little worn so I am picking up a new one, but it’s still in good shape really and I use it at least 2-3 times a week during the summer months. My only ding is I wish it were a bit larger.Original Review from 2014:Let me state up front – I was my car a lot and I mean a lot. Two to three times a week or more. I normally use soft cotton bath towels and change them out as I go so I always have one semi dry towel to remove the last bit of water. I don’t have problems with this method as I clean my towels often and keep my car waxed so the system works well for me. No scratches or swirls. But…I thought I might be missing something so I got one of these towels and frankly I really can’t see the point. While it might be softer than a normal cotton or terrycloth towel and does soak up a lot of water, it pretty much stays wet after that. You can wring it out, but it just spreads water after the initial use no matter how much you wring it. If you’re going to use it as a first pass to soak up the majority of the water then I guess it’s okay. But as your car starts to dry you end up putting more water down then was there when you started. Unless you have a bunch of these towels so you can always have a dry one, it’s not any better than the method I use now.I just don’t get the point or value in using these towels and they’re pretty small too. I don’t know that it will ever be part of my normal car washing routine, but it’s unlikely. It’s a nice towel, so I might find some other use for it as some point.I can’t recommend this to anyone for it’s intended purpose. Just use some good soft bath towels and save your money.

A solid drying towell!
This is a solid drying towel. It is very soft (it remains soft even after it dries, unlike chamois towels) and absorbs quite a bit of water. Don’t think that you won’t have to wring the towel out several times in order to dry your entire vehicle. I have to wring it out about 10-15 times to dry my mid-size sedan. I have used towels that had to be wrung out much less frequently, but what I like about this towel is that it doesn’t appear to leave streaks (or perhaps not as noticeable). I definitely recommend that you wring the towel out frequently and as much as possible to minimize the chance of leaving unappealing streaks. I use this on a black car (streaks are very easily visible) and I have been quite satisfied with the results so far (I have washed the car several times and nothing has jumped out at me [and I do inspect the car closely after a wash]).As a word of caution, although the towel is very soft, always make sure you have completely removed all debris and dirt from your vehicle’s surface before attempting to dry it; this towel (just like any other) is not scratch-proof and can track loose particles across the paint and cause scratches and/or swirl marks. For best results, use the two-bucket method when washing your car. Also, before using the towel for the very first time, make sure you have removed all the little plastic bits that keep the label attached to it, as they can just as easily scratch the paint and finish of your car. I always spray the towel down with quite a bit of water pressure before and after use.Overall, a solid product at a reasonable price!

Works amazing
I used to detail cars when I was younger so I know all about towels and chamois and streaks etc. The best method I had until yesterday was a fully spread out towel and pulling it very slow. No streaks. But towels don’t last long, once they get wet they’re pretty much useless. Yesterday this bad boy arrived. I was able to dry, streak free almost 2/3rds of a Chevy Silverado. After squeezing out water I was able to finish the whole truck. Windows and body. And that was moving fast. So I bought another knowing 2 of these will dry my whole truck in no time with zero streaks. Amazing little towel.
