Very Bendy and Sturdy
My state just started hands free driving law. My 2006 Ford Ranger truck does not have built in cup holders. I bought this bendy gooseneck phone holder and I’ve forced it up through the back of the ash tray (with tray removed) and used some packing material to hold it in place. It works great but I can not review the suction cup or anti-shake stabilizer. I do like the good grip the holder has on my older model phone and the one-button release.

No need to post a picture in action. We all know what this looks like. I have one one of these in each of my vehicles. You can place them on glass or even stick it to your dash. I have it in my 2016 Tacoma, 2017 Tuscon, 2021 Honda Fit, 250 transit ford van and all of my vehicles where i work. If I get stuck driving it, I payed out of pocket to install it in there. This is a great item to have for hands free calling, waze and google maps. No I wasn’t paid for my review. The base does get gooey over time. When you clean your dash simply pop it off wash it under warm water, do not pat dry, the fuzz will stick to it. Allow it to dry in the sun. And the stickiness will reapply itself magically. My only downfall to this product is I wish they sold a replacement base. There is a small set screw on the end where you can remove the suction attachment. I know its just $15, but i dont need the arm. Mine has been in my tacoma for 2yrs. Lesson learned. So I’ll just replace the whole arm. But don’t let my single issue deter you from making the awesome purchase. This thing bends and stays put where you place it, it has a small clip to keep it from flopping around. I placed a trimmed piece of soft velcro on the base of mine to keep it from scratching the plastic where it over hangs the vent and rest on the plastic. Also another lesson learned after years of finding that perfect phone cradle. I would be extremely disappointed if this item was discontinued. I was sad to see what mishaps others had with this item. But I have never had a reason to switch out to a different product. Just remember to clean the suction pad as regularly as you would wipe the dust or fur baby hair to ensure the life of your pad. So far, this cell phone mount is great! I needed something that would hold my cell phone securely, attach to my (slightly curved and pebbled) dashboard, not obscure my vision while driving, and not block any air vents. I’ve been using this mount for two months now and have had no problems with slippage, rattling, security, or adhesion: the mount grips my phone tightly (even in its otterbox case) and is easily adjusted for vertical or horizontal orientation, and the suction cup is holding firm to my dash. The placement of the little stabilizer piece is essential to hold the gooseneck arm steady and prevent rattling or excessive shaking; I had to reposition it twice during installation, but once I got it right it was excellent. Installation takes a bit of time – if you’re mounting it on your dash, you need to wait 24 hrs to allow the sticker to adhere to the dash before attaching the suction cup – but the resulting stability is worth the time. My phone can be plugged in while mounted, which is great for longer roadtrips or when my battery is low. I haven’t yet driven on really rough country roads with this mount, but it’s holding steady over the many nasty potholes that pepper my neighbourhood streets, and I’d feel confident recommending it to people who plan to use it mainly in cities or on paved roads. None of the parts seem flimsy or poorly fitted, and I’m particularly a fan of the adjustable ball joint connecting the phone holder to the gooseneck arm, which allows me to position my phone screen at whatever angle I like. We’ll see how it holds up through the winter and in more punishing road conditions, but to date I’m very pleased with the quality of this mount, especially for the price.
