Easy to Use
IOS Carplay:
When connected, the car screen will display the BT name, then use your phone to turn on WiFi and BT, find BT “WirelessDongle-XXXX” to connect
Android Auto:
When connected, the car screen will NOT display the BT name (There will be no prompt on the car screen, as long as the adapter light is on), just use your phone to turn on WiFi and BT, find BT “WirelessDongle-XXXX” to connect
[NOTE] The adapter is not compatible with the following models: Skoda, VW 2016-2017, Seat Leon 2018-2019, Seat Ibiza 2020, BMW.[NOTE] Before connecting the adapter, clear the cable to disconnect the Bluetooth connection from the original car.
WHEN SWITCHING BETWEEN iOS CARPLAY & ANDROID AUTO
Switch wireless Carplay → wireless Android Auto:
please turn off Bluetooth and then turn on WiFi for iPhone, and wireless Carplay will disconnect
Wait for 1 minute before using Android phones WiFi+Bluetooth to connect wireless to Android Auto
Switch wireless Android Auto → wireless Carplay:
please turn off both Bluetooth and WiFi for Android phones, and the wireless Android Auto will disconnect
Wait for 1 minute before using iPhone WiFi+BT to connect to wireless Carplay
NOTE: The device can only be connected to one mobile phone, not two mobile phones at the same time

A: Sorry, this problem has nothing to do with the adapter itself, but the wireless transmission. Video transcoding is more complicated than normal audio file transcoding and takes more time.

Stopped working… because of me.
It was working perfectly for the first few weeks except that, occasionally, I couldn’t get sound. I removed my vehicle from Bluetooth on my iPhone which fixed it.Then, a couple weeks later, my phone wouldn’t connect so I’d unplug the dongle then plug it back in which seemed to work.A couple of weeks ago, the dongle gave a message via CarPlay that it couldn’t connect despite my phone showing that it was connected.I’ve tried forgetting/deleting the Bluetooth connection from both my vehicle and my iPhone, toggling Bluetooth on/off, and disconnecting/reconnecting the dongle. It just stopped working and the return window closed 3 weeks ago.I’ll update this if anything changes.Update: I tried connecting with a wire and it so wouldn’t work so I thought either it’s my car or my phone, so I tested my partner’s phone and it connected perfectly. Both of our phones had the latest iOS update. It suddenly hit me: it’s my VPN.Coming from Android, I could create a tunnel. So, I’ve created a rule to turn VPN off when connecting to the dongle.TL;DR works wonderfully. Make sure to turn your VPN off 🙂

Stopped working
Mine stopped connecting. When it did connect it would freeze or have choppy audio. Worked well for a about a month but not usable now.EDIT: Got a replacement and that one also stopped working after a month. I don’t recommend.

Compact and out of the way
My 4Runner has wired Bluetooth but not wireless. I been using different wireless dongles that has a usb wire and then the module. This meant I had to put the module somewhere, originally I double sided tape it then I hid it within the center console to be out of the way… now with this dongle that is sooo compact, it cleans up the area.The size is compact; wish it was the size of the logi usb, but this is already much smaller than what’s available on the market. It doesn’t stick out or is the way, so I appreciate that. It has a green light but based on the orientation of my usb port, it faces down so it doesn’t bother me. It. No design on it, simple, black, and sleek.I have an iPhone 14 Pro and it connects instantly at start up, faster than I expected. Setting up CarPlay was easy as well, it was detected quickly and I was able to sync it. It does display numbers on my iPhone but not on the screen to show a match, but I hit confirm and it connected with a breeze.

Works for mirror projection, like Waze but “stutters” when playing any media on your cell, such as podcasts, music, etc. Very annoying.

I’ve had about 4 different CarPlay adapters so far and this one is about the smallest one so far. With the other ones they took a while to get it to recognize the phone and get it connected. This one was plugged in and connected quick. Nothing more to say other than it works and works great! That’s all that matters.
